So let me get this straight, your argument is that because they play different teams from different conferences and not "the same teams over and over" that they do not play teams that recruit similarly or worse? Yep you got me. Good argument.

The bottom line is that the big east conferences top teams would be middle of the pack teams in major conferences. They are where they are because the top 3 teams in the conference left. Therefore, until they put 2 or 3 top 25 teams on their schedule and beat them year in and year out there will always be an asterisk beside what they do.

Since I already have these numbers crunched...

PITT - Scout - (conf rank) (national rank)
=============================
2005: (2) (42)
2006: (1) (11)
2007: (1) (8)
2008: (1) (25)
2009: (4) (31)

PITT - Rivals - (conf rank) (national rank)
=============================
2005: (2) (38)
2006: (1) (21)
2007: (2) (26)
2008: (1) (28)
2009: (4) (47)

Who has done less with more? Florida State maybe?

There are not 5 gems in Pitt's class. A gem to Pitt is someone who is ranked highly nationally with a 1.5 HS GPA so they will be the only BCS team to give them a scholarship (that is a free college education) and they will leave after 3 seasons. Name me one of those Gems. As I said before name the last nationally known recruit that Pitt has got that has good grades. They get leftovers. TAE will probably know this. Compare over the last few years the number of players that selected Pitt that was heavily recruited by PSU to the number of players that selected PSU that was heavily recruited by Pitt. I guarantee that PSU has won that battle. Let's not mention the battles Pitt has lost to OSU or ND or Mich.

They haven't won a head to head battle for a 4 or 5-star player since January of 2006.
