Pete Carroll to Seattle
Pete Carroll to Seattle
This whole situation reeks to me. It's all happening way too quickly to not believe that Carrol is seemingly running away from something that's about to come down on the football program @ USC. For someone who was so adamantly against going to the NFL just years ago when they came knocking to now settle down with an organization such as the Seahawks just seems suspicious to me.
Calapari anyone?

I totally agree, Ham. He saw the NCAA sanctions coming and he's getting out of there. After all the Bush allegations, which still haven't been settled, then all the McKnight allegations, he knows what's coming. If the media didn't love USC, this would have all been blown up a long time ago. Pete's a smart man and is going to put that evil on the next USC coach.

Wouldn't it be great for USC to hire Mike Leach.
I wonder if USC players have "fat little girlfriends"?

Re: Pete Carroll to Seattle
I will be shocked if anyone would hire Mike Leach after all of the different allegations I have read. That dude is crazy.

In this day and age, winning trumps crazy behavior. USC isn't desperate so they can probably afford to hire a good coach who is not at risk for crazy behavior. However, I'd be shocked if someone doesn't hire Mike Leach. I agree something must be up with Pete Carroll. I can't imagine leaving a great job in southern Cal for a shaky job in Seattle.

Re: Pete Carroll to Seattle
Just gotta love that "Rooney Rule". The Seahawks GM is in Minnesota today trying to set up an interview with the defensive coordinator of the Vikings, who just happens to be an african american. Why? Is it because the Seahawks want to hire this guy? Of course not, it's just to be "in compliance" with the Rooney Rule. The deal is done with Petey. Talk about a waste of time. If I were that guy I would tell them to go fly a kite.
