Texas has lost 2 in a row. So what? No one goes undefeated in their conference let alone all year long. You expect to lose once in a while. But when it becomes the norm, then you're in trouble.

Moldo - they (a few of the nitters) are having a very hard time understanding the differences between college football and and basketball. Anyone who follows college basketball knows that the top 10 or even 20 flip flop throughout the season more times than one can imagine. And a two game losing streak means nothing when you play 30 some games a season. In college football you are screwed but in basketball its not to big of deal this time of year.

I am still curious as to why apbk wouldnt support psu basketball even in bad times and admit to basically being a bandwagon fan, only supporting them if they are winning! wow!

It truly is astonishing that apbk is such a fair-weather fan. Hard to believe.

I just figured you guys enjoy talking about losing teams so much that you might want to discuss what Pitt has done in it's last two games.

Penn State sucks. We know that. Pitt is at least relevant in the college basketball world, and all you want to talk about is Penn State. It would seem to me that the recent play by Pitt should be cause for concern/discussion among the Pitt faithful. Is that so absurd that you guys can't focus on them for a little while? A team you should be genuinely interested in?

Who said we werent interested in them. Just because we are not panicking because they dropped two games isn't a lack of being a fan. what is funny though is the die hard nitters pick and choose what sports they are fans of what sports they dont want to follow. When psu made that run in the NIT and also in the NCAA a long time ago, psu basketball fans come out of the woodwork. So go figure. I wouldnt humor yourself and claim Pitt fans are more worried about psu basketball than Pitt. Good spin though.

Hey, when the season started, I genuinely was hoping that Pitt, with that tough schedule ahead of them, would win more games than they would lose. As it has turned out so far, I'm thrilled with what they have accomplished on the basketball court. Losing to a ranked Georgetown team, and then on the road at Seton Hall, won't make me throw in the towel.

Did you say, 'throw in the towel"??? Now you are starting to sound like our counterparts!! .
I agree though, I was expecting a mediocre season at best (but still was going to be supportive of the team). Their play thusfar is a pleasant surprise. Hopefully they can finish out strong.

Penn State has a massive alumni base and great sports fans. They also have NO basketball tradition. In a place like that, where you have a lot of people who would care but they have no tradition to fall back on, you have to give them a reason to care. This isn't like Idaho or someplace. They have everything in place up there (funding, alumni, facilities, academics, university prestige) except a coach (and maybe even an AD)with a brain in his head. Penn State could be good if the athletic department would stop hanging out extensions based on how nice a person is. DeChellis is a good guy, he's just not a head coach in a big conference. Time to look elsewhere, i.e. Dayton or Cornell.

Dayton AND Cornell would beat PSU this year...IUP could hang with them too, for that matter.

A guy who attends 10 games on years that PSU didn't even make the tournament is now a bandwagon jumper? You have to really not have a life to go watch a 8-11 team go get their butts kicked night in and night out. I still check up on them and watch some select games on TV but I'm not going to the BJC on a weekend night to watch such a poor product.
