Wow, that's funny! I didn't know that Johnstown hired a new coach? I'm sure the Tribune would have wrote an article on this if they did!!!! They usually post in the paper when the next board meeting is and havent seen the post.
ANother funny this is that I drove by the other day and saw Penna and the coaches at Ferndale. Unless, it is the truth and he has a contract for Johnstown then dont stir the pot. You know the kids look at this site and why destroy a program because you 'heard" a rumor. Best of luck next year to the yellow jackets.

I was standing by a conversation near a Johnstown school board memeber and they said Penna Jr. is going to be the next coach. I'm not spreading rumors just telling you what I heard with my own ears.

As a Johnstown fan I'm very disappointed. New blood is needed in the program not recycled crap.

I heard from a brother of varsity football coachthat said that penna said don't believe what you hear. he also receieved a contractfor next year in the mail. Isn't penna the ad at Ferndale. Why would he send out contractsto his coaches if he is leaving?

Big push on in Harrisburg to consolidate marginal districts. It will happen. The only question is how soon. Ferndale and CV not the only area schools on the list.

If they are going to close Ferndale & CV, wouldn't it make sense for Penna Jr to go to Johnstown then? At least he would have a job.

That push has been going on for almost a year now to reduce 500 schools DISTRICTS in Pennsylvania to 100 school districts. That doesn't necessarily mean closing schools, rather consolidating administrations.
