Re: LHAC picture
Lhac207 what r u talking about CC had Miller last year and thats it. Vescovi did it all his self last night defense and on O. Traino does not know how to make adjustments the CH did a great job last night. CC started to double and some time triple team Vescovi so CH spread the floor and let Vescovi bring the ball up and he constantly beat Caleb and Brian off the dribble. Traino should've went to a 2-3 zone after 25 years u would think he would know the ins and outs of this game. Traino I just don't know sometimes
Re: LHAC picture
Miller had Handlon and Ridgely which I feel is much better than the other three starters they have this year. The only reason they have a better record up to this point is the level of competition in the LHAC is down from last year. And the addition of Holsinger too. I'm not claiming CC had an amazing team last year by any means, but I feel last years CC team was more athletic and dangerous than this years. But keep in mind that this is just the 2nd game I've watched of CC all year and I may be off base. Hard to say I guess we'll find out by how the rest of the season plays out including the playoffs.

Cambria Heights gets pounded at home by Forest Hills. If CC can beat FH once they can win the section if they beat who they SHOULD. Cambria Heights obviously got out coached. They tried a man to man full court press when they were desperate. Everyone knows that is worthless when Forest Hills has a guy like Luke Gallagher to bring the ball up. Especially when the highlanders are dead tired because their coach plays 5 guys the entire game. Vescovi wasn't healthy but simple things win games like substituting and a ZONE press

FH loses to Penn Cambria at home, then beats CH at Patton...This clearly speaks to lots and lots of bad basketball being played.

Titan, take your already low opinion of D-6 hoops, double it, add 12, and .... it's even worse than that.WPIAL~Titan wrote:FH loses to Penn Cambria at home, then beats CH at Patton...This clearly speaks to lots and lots of bad basketball being played.

Cambria Heights got destroyed at home. Gallaher is awesome. Watching him was a treat he took the game over right away. I think he had 25 or 27 at halftime. I'm not sure how many he finished with but man he hit he everything he took. Even with defenders in his face. He's the real deal and FH has a very good ball club. Their game against CC should be a good one.

I'm sure if someone on CH's team was better than a tired player they would play a little more. If you were at the game "Footballfan4" (which I'm sure you were, complaining about how your son/brother/self doesn't get to play very much by the way you said only 5 players play the whole game) maybe you saw how Luke was on top of his game and how vescovi was definitely not 100%. But the fact is, him being even 50% and having 3 guys on him at all times on offense is better than a sub who doesnt do anything. The shots were open, CH couldn't hit. FH played very well. CC should get it done and lock up Section 1 and play Johnstown for the championship.

I was pretty disappointed with how the game turned out. Thought it'd be a much better game. FH played great defense and were in CH players faces all night. If Gallaher has a game like last night against CC they will win. Regardless whoever goes to the LHAC title in Section 1 is going to have their hands full against Jtown. I don't see FH or CC beating them.

1. Don't have a son. 2. Brothers are all above 40. and 3. I don't think I would be able to make a trip up and down the court anymore. But what I did see is players on the bench who can play, for example number 33 (name unknown) played good defense for the little time he was in and then was taken out and forgotten about. He gave good minutes and was never used again. I'm not really sure who you think I am but your sadly mistaken by thinking I am on the bench. I don't know how you can say I'm a player (or relative) when i criticize a coach that runs one defense the entire game. Especially when a team is running a 3 man weave to kill clock and heights are still in man.SportsFan20 wrote:I'm sure if someone on CH's team was better than a tired player they would play a little more.
