Way to go coach Cobaugh for getting your kids to buy in to a team style of play. The kids are listening and there is no question who is in control.
What a difference a year makes.

I for one am eating crow on this one. I still am not convinced that he was the right choice, but he hasn't done anything to think it was a bad decision.

He's way more lenient than Roman Jr. that's for sure. Last night at Richland I saw kids dancing, one who held a phone up to his ear (his hand) and yelled call me into the stands repeatedly. Obviouslly I'm an FH fan and they were being routed so this p*ssed me off quite a bit.. Act like you've been there before!! But all in all, the kids played basketball very well and seem to respond well to the coach.. up until the 4th quarter.

How does one year make all the difference? Jtown won the d6 title last year too... if they do this year too and make noise in states then you can consider it a better year...

History repeats itself. Think about it
Re: Trojans - What a difference a year makes.
A year makes a difference because the kids have bought into Cobaughs message and are actually running an offense, playing defense, being unselfish and listening to their coach. No more every man for himself -- shoot everytime you get the ball -- throw yourself at the basket -- throw up bad shots -- play no defense just worry about the offensive end. Last years team was an embarrassment.
This team will win if they continue to listen to their coach. Had they listened last year they would have gone deep into state playoffs.

This is hilarious, run an offense please. This teams scores on pressing. Don't get me wrong it works for them but if they can't score off the press they struggle. Let’s not forget Cobaugh was apart of the coaching staff last year and in turn part of the message. Let's also not forget that Johnstown is very talented I think you could have Chuck Difalco(jtown girls coach) coach that team and have the same result.
Like I read on a different post this reminds me a lot like Facino when he took over. If I was a betting man I would guess there are no programs set up for the 5th 6th or 7th graders to develop. So when the talent runs dry and you actually have to coach you end up with a losing season and then you resign and leave someone else to build the program. What a different a year makes, watch how much a couple of years makes. I will call this time at Johnstown Facino's second term

Did we forget Cobaugh was apart of the coaching staff last year. So if it was an embarrassment it was an embarrassment for everyone who was coaching.
Let me give credit to the people who should receive the credit, the sophs at Johnstown. They are the difference a year makes. Any coach in LHAC could have that team and have that same success with that same schedule. Coaching has nothing to do with that. This is the only coach in LHAC who sits down the whole game he looks like a freshman coach. I know someone would say well what does that have to do with it, well when you have to give your team commends and instruct it's much easier doing it standing up then sitting down, unless your not giving instructions and just letting talent do what talent does........

I dont know about all this history repeats itself Jazz. Sure when faschino came to Jtown his first year he did the best, BUT there also was a decline of talent

Re: Trojans - What a difference a year makes.
Jtown was an embarassment last season? Tell that to 4 year starter, and D6-AAA champion Paul Weatherly. That statement was ridiculous. Wanna know why this team looks like they are "buying in" to the concepts of the coach? Because the talent in the LHAC this season compared to the last few is attrocious. Jtowns team last season was probably much better, but had to play much tougher competition. This years Jtown team doesn't have any kind of inside presence and is still winning games.. it used to be you couldn't win without good guards and forwards. With that being said, someday this will be a dang good team.. the Watson kid is very impressive but needs to get his head on straight and worry about playing defense instead of dancing.
