District 6
Re: District 6
If Billy Idol can be "Dancing with Myself", why can't someone be "talking with myself" under the guise of two people?

Re: District 6
Crusherfan you are the dumbass. Forest Hills won the D-6 duals. They beat Westmont in the semis and Huntingdon in the finals. That is what everone is talking about. Yes it is true that Westmont won Districts but that was the individual tournament which doesn't mean a whole lot anymore even though it is still nice to win it as team but from here on out it is all about individual winning not team. The District tournament that they are talking about now is the Triple A individual. Why are you posting on a wrestling chat site when the crushers don't even have a wrestling team?
Re: District 6
Before the PIAA had a "state duals championship playoff system", sometime around 1998, the individual tournament also had a "team" winner. Once the state duals went into effect, the importance of winning the "team" title during the individual tournament diminished in it's significance. The district 6 TEAM DUAL playoffs actually determines the district championship, as this team advances to Hershey. Yes, Westmont won the team title during last weekends individual tournament, but FH actually won the District title, which is recognized as quite an achievement. So in reality, Westmont did not win the LHAC wrestling title, or the District 6 team title.

sorry for the misunderstanding, i just saw the paper and it said westmont was champs, im not up to date on all that wrestling talk such as duals and stuff
Re: District 6
Try reading a good newspaper. The Altoona Mirror. There are other things going on besides anything BM, Jack Murtha, and the weather. Last week for instance, was a big writeup of Portage's Dave Kephart 171 lbs. It told how he had changed his style and it led to him making the 171 finals against Westy's Burnheimer. Remember, it was 2-2 in overtime, when Kephart forced the issue, trying for a throw he didn't finish, and Burnheimer just waited for him to make the mistake that eventually led Burnheimer to the victory. Not only did Kephart not get 1st place, by letting his opponent win, Westmont won that "mythical" team points total, by 2, 173 1/2 to the Rangers' 171 1/2. That was how close the outcome could have changed. Also, had the Rangers gotten a higher finish from any of their 3rd place finishers, or one or 2 of the kids who missed out on 5th place, it could have been a different outcome.
It ain't over until it's over.
