congrats to him and the coaches. Maybe this kid might actually get some well designed plays for him, misdirections, powers, direct snaps, anything to get him a good head of steam. Still wondering if Bailey is acually going to wisen up and rely on a strong running game rather than just throwing the ball next year.

smart move by the school board allowing a high quality motivator and leader in Smith becoming the head coach. Heard a few people doubting this but so far proving to be an excellant head coach IMO. Now hopefully he can get this momentum going and come up with a solid tough defense in football.


Ill take a head coach who is passionate, fiery, and with great leadership skills anyday. Not all JUST about the Xs and Os as a head coach.

A solid defense at Richland?! You may catch Forest Hills running a spread option attack before that ever happens! LOL. But I agree, Smith is probably the best coach on that team, and they have about as many coaches as players. It just seems to me like Richland never has the boys upfront who can really compete.. Maybe it's the strength and conditioning at the younger ages, an insufficient little league program getting the kids to come out and play who are "bigger" and not exactly athletes (Lineman), or something else. It just seems like Bailey has been fabricating wins for the past few seasons with a horrible line, then they'll come down to Sidman and get rolled. They've had just as many quality skill players the last couple years to compete with BM and FH, the problem is upfront. Hell, Rizzo might be their biggest player and he's the running back!

Congrats to Rizzo, great accomplishment especially for a Sophomore. The kid has already lived up to the hype individual, hopefully his leadership through action will bring a championship to Richland in the next few seasons.

Congrats to John Rizzo, his hard work is paying off bigtime. For the most part he is surrounded by many great coaches (Wrestling,football, Lifting) and he takes full advantage of them all. Best of luck preparing for your next two titles! 8)
