After years of insane postings where he argued with TAE even though TAE is far more perceptive and superior to him in every possible way, Deliverance finally bet his house and savings in an "all or nothing" gamble on what he called "one of the greatest teams ever". I was ridiculed for insinuating that WVU had a chance. ME! RIDICULED! Can you believe it????

That bet would have been a loser, folks.

In a sporting event like the NCAA tourney, NO underdog bet is irrational. We have seen for years and years that any team can beat anyone regardless of injuries or lack thereof altogether.

In my honest opinion, I dont think anyone should bet one on 1 sport. I think you should scan all the sports and select a few (very few) matchups per year that you really feel good about. I personally would never bet money on a NCAA tourney game, because no matter who is playing, its a 50-50 bet at best. There's just too much at stake and even though Kentucky clearly has better players than WVU, we are ultimately dealing with 18-20 yr old kids, here.

One of my biggest gripes w/ college basketball is the youth. You can recruit 1-2 studs and make the dance in almost any given year. Then those kids leave early. So, for many teams, there is like a 85% turnover even at the freshmen - sophomore ranks. I am NEVER going to bet money on 18 yr old kids.

As for the rest of this tourney, who knows. All I know is that we have seen a few candidates that should be at Penn State as head coaches, and the more I see those teams the more I get sick about DeChellis.

I must admit this made me laugh. I couldn't believe how terrible Kentucky played last night. However, WVU didn't win it all, yet. By the way, it's good you avoid gambling on college athletics. Remember the final standings from our Bowl game projections two years ago? :lol: .

Who do u think will win it now? From what I saw, Butler can beat anyone in the final four. I'll take Duke, I guess.

Honestly, I'm not sure. I thought Duke would be bounced a long time ago, but they're looking tough. Butler has the advantage over everyone by playing close to home. I just can't say sit here and think that Brad Stevens is going out outcoach Tom Izzo, but Michigan State isn't the same team without Kalin Lucas. That game should be really interesting. I think the winner of the Duke/WVU game is your champion. This has been the craziest tournament that I can remember.

I agree. Ya know, to be honest w you, this is what sucks about a playoff. Anyone can beat anyone. Yeah, they technically beat everyone in the playoff format, but is Butler really the best team? You can go both ways with its: Yes, they are, bc they beat all the teams they played. And no, they aren't, bc I'm not sold on them and I don't think they could beat some of the "top" programs. It doesn't matter though, in a playoff. So I guess this a playoff is the best way to crown a champ, brcause they "proved it" by winning all their games, but it still makes me a little uneasy.

I don't know who the best team in the nation is, but I would have never said Butler, MSU, Duke, or WVU.

And I agree, I thought Duke would be eliminated long ago. Same with Michigan State.

Will be interesting to see how it plays out, but its so... odd.

Just a tidbit: West Virginia has never won a national title in any sport. They did win some kind of rifle shooting championship in the 50s though. So it might be cool to see them win their 1st nat title as a university by winning a "big" sport. But that doesn't change the fact that they admit anyone, have low academics, and their head coach is a retard.

What will happen in Morgantown if WVU wins it all? I can't even imagine what that town would look like in the aftermath of a National Championship.
