WHAT HAPPENED?

I was just wondering what happened at WIndber? I saw the add in the paper for a boys varsity basketball coach. Did Berk get fired? Did he resign? Is he at Richland like much of the speculation? Just curious as to whether or not anyone has any info?

10-13?? I guess Coach Rod has to hit the recruiting trail a little harder. Although I heard at the Rotary tournament this year they were road warriors with no home gym since their gym was knocked down to make way for the construction of a new fieldhouse. They played all their games on the road and were only able to practice once or twice a week at a small elementary school. They also lost 8 seniors to graduation from a 17-6 team and started two freshman and two sophomores this year. They played in the same section with Sewickley Academy, Cornell and Lincoln Park ( all WPIAL) semi-finalists. I know he loves Windber and the Ramblers but I don't see him moving back to J'Town. I think he's pretty happy at OLSH. Any other candidates????

I heard that Windber was not happy with the fact Burke applied for the Richland Job so they opened the position. They did not fire him and he did not resign.

If Burke wants to he can reapply for the Windber position if he does not get the Richland job. Rumor has it they will not rehire if they get a good candidate.
Also I’ve heard that Richland is considering reposting the position due to lack of candidates. If I was someone who applied for Richland and they reposted I would not re-apply. Also If I was Burke I would go ahead and make good with Windber before someone come in and take your coaching position and Richland does not hire you.

Coach Rodriguez has a very important job in charge of the Pittsburgh branch of the FBI. Why would he want to take several steps backwards just to come back to Windber.

Windber fans were squawking about Burke during the season, they wanted him out. I heard Danny Shipman and Ryan Durham has applied for the Richland job.

I don't know if D.Shipman actually applied but I do know Richland made several calls to him about the position. I know Richland had gotten R.Durham to apply at the last minute. I do know Richland is very high on both of these candidates.

I don't know why Burke would resign at Windber it is apparent that Richland is going to go a different direction then him.

I don't believe that. Why would they call Shipman, he is not even in the area. In a previous post you said they might repost the psoition because they didn't like the candidates. Now you say they called him?
