My ideal Big 10

Let me start by saying I know this will never happen. This is stricty me looking at this from a fan perspective and how I wish the conference would look. I miss the old matchups Penn State used to have so that's why I would love to see this.

Penn State
Pitt
West Virginia
Syracuse
Notre Dame
Ohio State
Indiana
Illinois

Big 10 West
Michigan
Nebraska
Wisconsin
Iowa
Purdue
Northwestern
Michigan State
Minnesota


Each team would play 10 conference games. 7 teams in their own division and in theother division with 1 guaranteed matchup from the other division such as Ohio state Vs. Michigan, PennState vs. Nebraska or Mich st. Just what i wish i could see. I miss the old eastern matchups. Saturday night games at WVU. Thanksgiving vs. Pitt. Late year games vs ND.

I know you said it will never happen, but one reason you probably haven't thought of is that the extra I-AA game is really, really helping those I-AA schools. They get a tremendous amount of cash to play those games, and with a scenario where there are only 2 out of conference games... That's not enough room to get more teams in there.

I think if the Big Ten goes to 16, you have 2 divisions of 8, thats 7 conference games, 2-3 intra-conference, and 2-3 OOC.
