Where is all this Big XII revenue coming from?

They lost their title game, they lost 2 members with either a big following or a big market, and how does Texas creating their own network help the BXII renegotiate TV contracts? Wont Texas just put their athletics on the UT network? And how pathetic is the rest of that conference for saying "I dont care if my husband slaps me around, as long as he doesn't leave me"?

I am actually proud of Colorado and Nebraska for leaving that cesspool of a conference. I understand where Texas is coming from, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.

$20 million is coming from Nebraska and Colorado. They both owe $10 million for breaking their contract with the Big 12. Also, the Big 12 is supposedly getting a new television contract from either ESPN or Fox. I haven't exactly received the clarification on that, yet. The major networks want College Football to stay the way they are now because of all the deals that are already in place. If conferences expanded, College Football would be almost forced into a playoff. That's just the short version of everything that took place.

No, ESPN wants them to stay the way they are b/c of how much money ESPN is "losing" w/ the success of the BTN. They dont want the Pac-16 making their own.

And that revenue from Neb and Colorado is likeley to be taken to ourt. They are not going to end up paying that much.

5 years from now we'll be talking about the Big XII dissolving again. These revenue projections are as pie in the sky as I have ever seen in my life.

The Big 12 will just not pay them this year. It's actually pretty simple. All the money that they are owed will just be withheld. I'm sure it will go to court and they'll settle for less money, but they're both going to forfeit almost every cent that they earn in the Big 12 this year.

I think all the schools who leave conferences have to forfeit the revenue in addition to paying exit fees.
