Speaking of embellishment????? On Wednesday, Penn State announced their non-conference men's basketball schedule for 2010-2011, with the headlines that the Nittany Lions will face "five teams that reached the post-season last year". WOW! Sounds pretty imposing, doesn't it? Well, too bad 2 of the teams played in the NIT, and ONE made it to the "Collegeinsider.com Postseason Tournament". Yes, the prestigious CIT Postseason Tournament!!!! Are you kidding me? Talk about embellishing. And this is the best they can do? And brag about it, none the less????? So of the 5 teams highlighting the non-con schedule, two played in the NIT, one (Fairfield) played in the CIT, and two in the Big Dance, Maryland and Lehigh (which was a 16th seed). That's your non-con schedule, folks. And the lucky PSU fans can see most of the non-con games, since they ONLY play 2 games AWAY from the BJC.

Why? Just get individual game tickets when you want to and get free wieners when you show up.

Quote from gopsusports by Eddie DeChellis: "I think we've put together a very good and very challenging non-conference schedule. There are some teams in there like Fairfield that are not well known, but were strong last year and return their core players and we fully expect to be a tough game". After losing to Stoneybrook, I guess any game is a tough one.

Despite intestinal issues which have plagued him since spring, Joe Paterno is still able to prove that he is full of ****. The embellishing continued today at Big Ten Media Day when JoePa stated, " We have to open with Youngstown State. It's a tough football game when you've got a young team". Really? A season opener at home with 13 returning starters. How tough does it get?
