Poteat
Well he was set up at the McDevitt gym with a Pitt,Rutgers,Tennessee,USC,and Florida hat on the table.....
And as many predicted a week ago...Jameel Poteat will be wearing the blue and gold.
The McDevitt-Pitt conection remains strong, and The family ties held up for Jameel.
That gives us 2 Running Backs for the class and will wrap it up for us there. No Savon Huggins, but now the serious courting of Junior RB, Rushel Shell begins. He is something else. Lot of teams will be battling for him.
Poteat is a 5-11195 pound back. Rated as the 188 player overall by Rivals as a member of the Rivals250. He is the 5th rated Running Back, and rated as the 5th best Player in the State.
he had offers from USC,Tennessee,Rutgers,Florida,Iowa and Cincy as well.
Huge gain for Pitt. Gives them 3 Rivals250 players.
Wanny is on a roll, The 4th 4 Star Commits tomorrow......I Think. Chestnut is leaning towards us.

Re: Poteat
I've heard differing reports. Many think Jarrett is all Penn State, but some think he'll choose Pitt. He would ultimately be Pitt's 3rd CB in this class, though. He's supposedly friends w/ Mangiro.
A lot of PSU folsk are irritated with how we blew it w/ Chestnut, but I dont think his film is all that impressive. He's okay. I'd say he's more a mid-level 3 star, to be honest. Poteet might be a high-end 4 star, though.

Re: Poteat
I really really like Poteat. Some compared him to a Ray Graham type, which is a 3rd down skatback. I don't see that at all. I see a 200 lb back that can carry the ball 20+ times and be an every down guy. His speed isn't overwhelming but does have some. He's a real good get.
As for Chestnut, I agree I don't see a great player on films, but he has some upside. 3 star is probably fair.
He commits tomorrow. I'd be shocked if he's not choosing Pitt.
I'd love to get Jarrett. He's rated slightly higher then Poteat and Chestnut.
