Why is Pitt's recruiting better this season than in others?
Let's see how many Pitt fans actually follow Pitt football. Why does Pitt legitimately have a chance to turn the corner? I know the answer. Do you?

2008- 9 win season
2009-10 win season.
I'm sure Pitt talent in The NFL can't hurt.
Coach Wannstedt can make overlooked players to All Americans.
They play in a town where people actually outnumber cows.
They realize Rutgers sucks and Joe Paterno is an idiot.
All Praise all knowing College Football God himself

Dave Wannstadt is using his serverance checks from the Dolphins and Bears to pay players?
Actually, I know how they get them there KennyWood, Museums, Pittsburgh Zoo, Inclined Plane, Johnstown Flood Memorial, and the Bridges. I just have no idea how they get them to show up at games with all these distrations.

It's because of Jeff Haley, Crimson. You would think you dolts would know who is on the Pitt staff.

Actually TAE, its weird that you know who Pitt's secondary coach is. I'm well aware of who he is.
He is the lone Pitt coach with New jersey ties. And he is solely responsible for about the 5-6 recruits on board right now from the Garden State.
Lewis and Graham and Murphy and Clemmings are also to his credit.
But its funny you mention that, because I read on some Pitt blog site earlier this morning, that a New Jersey newspaper is crowning Pitt the Top dogs in Jersey. I'll look for the article real quick. Wannstedt even credits him for that.
But the funny thing is I would not credit this turning the corner to Jeff Hafley. He's a part but definitely not the reason.

So it is stranger for me to know who the top recruiters are, or for you to not even know who is on the Pitt staff?

I know who Hafley is....I find it odd you do. I couldn't name a Penn State assistant besides Bradley and the dude with orange hair. And I guess I don't even know his name
