Scrimmage results
Re: Scrimmage results
BC looked pretty good, running game and play action looked pretty crisp. I think #1 is Woo fast good on outside runs and draws but on dives just not enough size . I would like to see them give the ball more to Kephart and Chumrick. On D BC looked good only way Bedford moved the ball was on a bunch of inside reverses. Chumrick had I think 3 sacks constantly in the backfield from the def end position I guess no more mlb. BC to my surprise had good size. BC also had 2 9th graders dressed both around 6'6 270-300lbs. Bedfords only score came from a 40yard pass on 4th down tipped by a bc db right into a bedfords wr hands. Coach Sponsky went off on Bedfords players during the game anyone know what that was about?

FH vs Jtown: 1st string, 3 to 1. 2nd string, 3 to 1. Jtown has a lot of work to do.
It ain't over until it's over.

Re: Scrimmage results
Berlin dominated Everett. In the full field scrimmage for varsity Berlin score 6 times and Everett didn't score. Passing game was very good, a couple of dropped passes but that will be fixed. Everett would get a first down here and there but not many. I don't know much about the ICC, but Everett shouldn't be a team to beat in the ICC unless the conference is not good this year.

Richland scored once on Portage with a pass. Portage had 2 chances on the goalline to score. Couple penalties. Thats how Ian.

Re: Scrimmage results
Manfred, the touchdown scored might've said Johnstown was an inferior team but keep in mind the format of a scrimmage. Johnstown forced FH into a bunch of "3 and outs" and FH did the same. Johnstown beat FH deep a bunch of times. FH's quarterback is no Kudlawiec/Rearick/Glessner clone we've been spoiled with in the 2000's.. He threw the ball right to Johnstown defenders numerous times. If not for a few drops and the format of scrimmages (offense gets the ball back), Johnstown is right in the game if not leading. FH has a lot of work to do also. Both lines, the qb, and the secondary need major work if this team is going to live up to D6 champ expectations. FH now goes on to play Bedford, lets hope we can get some of the younger kids some confidence and Either Gdula or #4 comes to play ball at qb. The Meier/Dudukovich/Unger backfield seems to all it was last season, but that line scares me.
Johnstown has some stellar young athletes. That spread offense may be scary good when they meet FH week 10. The defense did a good job flying to the ball. WIll be an interesting team to watch.

Considering that Johnstown has 8 returning starters returning on defense, I think the Ranger's varsity looked kinda good on offense. Johnstown did have 2 long passes, but the FH defender fell down on the long TD pass. (no excuses though). All in all, Johnstown only completed 3 or 4 passes the whole scrimmage. When the format changed to "moving the chains", I'm not sure Johnstown even made a first down, whereas FH did score a TD. So much for the "3 and outs", as FH only punted ONE time.
