you people talk about gouse running the score...go to the games bud, the starting line up was outa the game by half time almost every game...sorry that the other teams cant stop the jvs.....enough said
the play calling has alot to do with it too, regardless theres no need to put 55-60 points up on weak teams each week. yeah it makes you look good but whats it matter because we all know come playoff time they'll never beat mccort or bellwood.

the only reason portage put up 50-60 points on teams is because the starters need time to play too. if you want a game where portage only scores 20-30 points they would have had to put in their jv team the whole game, but as i said before the starters need time to play and perfect the plays they are going to be running through out the season

well last year mccorts starters, and im using them as an example cuz thats who i follow, would pull starters after 3 quarters and only put up 40-48 points, and most games when they were in the upper 40s their opponents were in or near the 20s so its not that big a difference. with the exception of guilfoyle(52) and richland but that richland game was close until the final 7-8 minutes.

so your saying that since portage could score 45+ points in two quarters and mccort took 3 quarters to score 50 points, portage is running the score up? what your saying is that your keeping your starters in for 3 quarters so you can get the score that high on the other teams. portage just got the score that high because their offense was that efficient.

no they played garbage competition as well, but as usual they run into a real team(bellwood) in playoffs and loose and mustard no offense at all. you take away the burgan run in that game and portage gets 6 points and less then 100 yards

i agree with garbage competition but imagine if portage's starters had to play all 4 quarters of 8 or 9 of their games in the season. they would be a much better team in the playoffs if the starters had twice as much experience compared to when they only get to play half of the games.
