Hugh Green...
This video got me thinking, watch #99 toward the middle-end of this video:
http://www.versus.com/college-football/ ... highlights
Was Hugh Green the most dominant defensive player in the history of college football at his position?
I believe that he was. HG could impact a game like no other defensive lineman. The way he disrupted offenses was ridiculous. Hugh finished 2nd in the Heisman race his senior season and was absolutely unstoppable, even against double teams, which he was strong enough to bull rush, or use his 4.5 speed to go around an OL.
Hugh also went on to have a very good (not great) NFL career as a ILB, and was named to several Pro Bowls. He likely would've garnered serious consideration for the NFL Hall of Fame, but injuries prevented him from having such a career.
Of course, most of you 20 and low 30-somethings don't even know who Hugh Green is, and I'm sure you'll say that someone like Navorro Bowman was way better...

What I remember most about Hugh Greeen playing....when he made a tackle the PA announcer would say taken down by number 99....and the entire crowd would say Hugh Green

When I hear the name Hugh Green I think of Marajuana and Steroids. The last name fit like a glove.

I just knew throwing Navorro Bowman's name in my post would cause imbeciles like Kirk with low reading comprehension to misintrepret it and start talking about marijuana and steroids...
