LHAC Week 1.

Post by Crimson09Crazy »

Well its that time again. I'm ready, and I think everybody is just about ready for football season. Its time to get the season write ups going. I started it last year, and I go as far as the the last LHAC team remains standing. With the reports getting bigger as the games get bigger. So cheers to week 1. The wait is over.

Bedford at Forest Hills
Simply put, The Rangers are the class of the LHAC. They are loaded, and will be very run oriented this season. Unger, Meier, and Nick Dudukovich are going to go off on Bedford. The Rangers lose some linemen, but its not like they are replacing them with little guys. Forest Hills' size, rushing attack, and defense will be tough for anyone to match this year. Shippey will have to do everything to keep this one close. But I just see the Rangers' backs having their way.
Rangers 38 Bisons 7

Bishop McCort at Penn Cambria
Well both teams will be playing with a lot of new faces. Penn Cambria, loses Mr. Do everything, Zak Newton. He was the workhorse for this team, for the past few seasons. Jordan Fuller steps into that role for Fetzer now. Penn Cambria is also a very big team. McCort coming off their most successful season ever, will have to replace 20 of the 22 postions on the field. I think both teams are going to struggle early on, McCort will be outmatched on the interior lines in terms of size, but I think the McCort athletes like O'Reilly will be able to make enough plays for them to score a week 1 vistory.
Crimson Crushers 24 Panthers 20

Johnstown at Cambria Heights
In the first time in while, Section II is up for anyone's grabs. Will this be the year Johnstown takes it? Johnstown, once again will be very athletic, and will rely on speed and skill to spread teams out and score points to make up for the lack of Good Line play. I think Gervon Simon will be a special talent for the Trojans, and he needs to be able to spread the wealth. Alkwan Williams will anchor the D, and is a legitimate D1 prospect. Now this game is intriguing because Heights was so bad the past decade, but could have the best player in the league. Vescovi is a very good QB, and he returns his top targets,Brawley and Welteroth. I think that Heights will be able to score and keep it close for a half, but Johnstown should have control by the 4th.
Trojans 35 Highlanders 14

Somerset at Bishop Guilfoyle
Somerset is coming off another losing year, and they lose just about anyone was a major contributer on offense. Its going to be an interesting year for Somerset to see who steps up. Guilfoyle also is coming off a disappointing season, and they lose their best player Euey Ehredt. He did almost everything for the Marauders. I think Chris Damiano is going to be a big time player for them this year and he is going to have a big day doing a little bit of everything for BG
Marauders 27 Golden Eagles 13

Richland at Bishop Carroll
Richland is coming into this year a little different then the past 4-5. They are without a stable QB. For a team that is very pass heavy, that would be a huge concern. But with Rizzo and Cinko back in the backfield, it gives them at least one stable form of offense. The aerial attack may be on pause for the first few games. That may be a problem, because BC does have 2 of the best Defensive players in the league, Kephart and Chumrik are very good talents that are going to do well against a good rushing attack. BC's main problem will also be offense. They have some younger playmakers that are undersized, but they will be asked to make some big plays in this game. Heck give me Bishop Carroll, I think they are poised for a playoff run.

GAME OF THE WEEK
Westmont at Central Cambria
Okay I live in Westmont and I've heard this story many times before. That story being, that Westmont is going to be good this year. Now I've been fooled by that before. Not sure what I think this year. I'll give them a chance. Westmont has some very big kids in Lucas and Duplin, and Gindelsperger. Also they have some smaller backs in Intihar and Popchak. They still lack a QB, but Westmont should be able to move the ball on the ground. CC can match the size of Westmont. They are some big boys. They should pretty good in the passing game as Blake Buzzard returns for his 2nd year of being the QB. CC needs to find a back that can help this team. Nick Wissinger, maybe? regardless. I see this game going like this....Westy will be able to move the ball on the ground, but Central Cambria is well coached and they have the QB with experience, plus they are at home. Big factors. Give me CC...but, I'm not writing Westmont off yet.

sure is odd to see someone picking pc to knock off mccort. its something the panthers have only done once but if theres ever the year, this just might be it

mc

I still see McCort going 7-2 or at the worst 6-3.

seth thompson will be the reason this mccort team wins tonight. he is an offensive force at guard and will dominate the opposition from his nose guard position. the kid is a workhorse who refuses to quit. he is a boss
