McCort and single A playoffs.
Re: McCort and single A playoffs.
Sorry wrong Bishop. Bishop Guilfoyle was 3-6 lasy year and lost to United 22-12 in the first round. So losing records can make it I guess.
Re: McCort and single A playoffs.
Let's face it. Most single A teams play single A teams. McCort only plays 2 single A teams. So every win garners them MORE points per win than say a team like Portage ( not counting power points ). A win against Bedford, Somerset, Richland and Westmont can get them up there in the Single A rankings. With those 4 wins, they will easliy make the field of 16 even if they only win 4 games.
Re: McCort and single A playoffs.
But what about the "moral high road"????? Will they accept a playoff spot with a losing record?

Re: McCort and single A playoffs.
I am pretty sure of the following -
For 2007 and some years earlier, the top 16 in 6-A made the playoffs with a minimum of 4 wins required.
For 2008 and 2009, the top 16 could enter with no minimum number of wins.
Starting in 2010, a maximum of 12 teams can enter. There are no minimum number of wins but with only 12, it is likely most of the teams will have winning records. The top four teams have byes in round 1 (week 10).
Many school district have a policy of 0.500 or better to enter the playoffs, but that is independent of District 6 criteria.

Could you cite a source for you info?
I thought that it was still 16 teams in single A.
(which is great since, district 5 does not even have 16 single a teams and continues to refuse to allow teams to be part of their district.)

A .500 record is bs, a sub 500 LHAC team is not the same as a team that is sub 500 and has played only single A teams all year.

Re: McCort and single A playoffs.
well people look at it like this first round of the playoffs if its 4-5 or 5-4 bm vs say an 8-1 or 9-0 westpac or heritage team, i gurantee alot of people would pick mccort in that matchup
"some may say you just got lucky, i personally believe you make your own luck by being good."
Re: McCort and single A playoffs.
If McCort goes 4-5, they'll give us the old "we let the players vote on it, and decided to let them play". Right. Like that's not gonna happen. The Moral High Road.
