Time to return the favor.
Time to return the favor.
A few years back when the Big Ten was having a down couple of years all the sPitters on here made us explain why the Big Ten was so bad that season. Now its your turn sPitt fans what is the state of the Big East. Here is how the Big Easy has faired so far this year against other BCS conference teams:
Week 1:
-Michigan over UCONN 30-10
-Kentucky over Louisville 23-16
Week 2:
-Florida over South Florida 38-14
-Washington over Syracuse 41-20
Week 3:
-NCST over Cincy 30-19
-WVU over Maryland 31-17
-Oregon State over Louisville 35-28
That's right folks, through 3 weeks the Big Easy is 1-6 against other BCS conference teams. Temple, Fresno State, and UTAH also notched wins against Big Easy front runners. This conference does NOT deserve an automatic qualifier.

Yes, and the Big East hasn't FARED so well either. When insulting the BE and Pitt, at least spell correctly.
Let's be honest about the Big 10 too: They have ONE SOLID TEAM: tOSU. That's it. PSU, Iowa, UM, MSU, and Wisky are slightly below to slightly better than average, and nothing special. The bottom half of the league (UMinn, Indiana, Illini, Purdue, NW) are garbage. Minnesota lost to SOUTH DAKOTA for God's sake. SOUTH DAKOTA. I didn't even know football existed there.

Re: Time to return the favor.
The bottom half of the big ten would all be conference favorites in the Big East right now. Cincy, Uconn, USF, Louisville, etc would be garbage in the Big ten, but they've been the Cream of the crop in the big East the past few years. Amazing how teams from Conf USA and Div I AA football can come in and take over the big east conference.

Sure, Minnesota would be the BE favorite, or Northwestern, Indiana, Illini, or Purdue for that matter. SOUTH DAKOTA.

Nah Minnesota wouldn't be. The others would be in the race. I think when your 2nd or 3rd best teams gets pummeled by Temple you should probably realize anyting could happen.
