Terrelle Pryor
Terrelle Pryor
When T. Pryor came out of high school the knock on him was passing. I find it interesting this year that he has passed for over 1000 yards already this season and seems to be a better passer than runner. I would have thought when he was in high school he would be like a Denard Robinson and putting up numbers like that. Im sure the system he is playing in has a lot to do with that. But I am curious to hear what the critics have to say about his passing now. Not that he is putting up Heisman numbers but much better than expected I feel.

Re: Terrelle Pryor
He reminds me a lot of Troy Smith. That's not a good thing when it comes to making it in the NFL. Pryor has the size, but I'm not sure he's accurate enough to make it in the big time. It's going to be interesting to see how the NFL scouts look at him.

Re: Terrelle Pryor
TP has 1000+ yards passing...against the likes of Ferndale, Shade, Rockwood, Cone Valley, and The 'U...
He's a good enough athlete to play in the NFL, for a long time if not as a QB, as a WR. He has ridiculous phsyical talent.

WPIAL TItan, I couldn't agree more. I think that Tressel is wisely trying to get his to an above adequate standing so when it comes time to play some decent teams, he can truly be dual threat.

Re: Terrelle Pryor
vs. Illinois 10-18. 76 yards passing. Bolden has more yards passing than Pryor. He's a physical specimen and his huge run and bigger situation runs lead them to a W over Illinois. He's still a much better runner than a passer. Pryor is ranked 8th in the Big10 in passing.

Re: Terrelle Pryor
He would have Denard like stats if he would have joined up with Rich Rod or went out to Oregon. Those two offenses were built for a guy with Pryor's skills.

Re: Terrelle Pryor
His passing rating is better than Bolden according to espn. I 'think' he has the 4th best rating in the big 10...11...er 12. Bolden may have more yardage. that wasnt my point.
OSU is the better team, so it really doesn't matter if Bolden has more yards or is better in any statistical category.
Im just surprised he has passed for so many yards thus far. Regardless of competition.

Re: Terrelle Pryor
you two are so cute together, lol....
I think what ham was trying to get at was that in the bigger games against legitimate opponents it is the plays Pryor makes with his feet that are noteworthy and not his arm. Yeah he had a ton of yards passing against Indiana and the cupcake OOC opponents, but in the big scene he seems to makes the play with his feet instead of his arm. As much as it pains me, he has improved in passing the ball which can be attributed to good coaching and maturity, but I would still be shocked to see him succeed in the NFL as a QB; his passing just isn't that good.
