I was told that it was a tie, but I was not there. Then again, it's only a scrimmage.

my thoughts on the game last night while typing with one hand. Did not see or hear anything negative from the portage faithful on the contrary all I heard was compliments from fans dircted towards me both before and after the game and then I went to a post game party in Portage and again nothing but positive conversation and compliments.

Ridge did come out flat in the 3rd but Portage was ready to capitalize and did when they easily could have rolled over. I thought coach Gouse did all he could with his team. Good luck to Portage.

neither team will win a district championship. im not sure if either will even win a playoff game, portage because they never win come playoff time. and ridge simply because their district is insanely good
ridge should win a championship...District 5 AA consists of Ridge, Bedford and the newly added Somerset replacing North Star. Am I not right?

District 5 will award AA champion even though the 3 teams will be playing with District 6 in the post season ~ so the highest finishing team between Bedford, Chestnut Ridge & Somerset will be awarded the District 5 AA championship

I never knew that. So say for example, if Bedford and CR both lose in the semi's what happens then?

I believe the team with the most points is declared D5 Champion. However it means nothing more than getting a banner. It has no bearing on the playoffs. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

I sure hope it wasn't Keils lol I'd say the Olde Keg or Chuggy's, maybe Brady's though also. Unless it was one of the "Clubs"(Legion,VFW,Italian,Benscreek).
