Don Bailey better be the man. He's amongst the highest paid high school football coaches in the state.

What better way to build confidence in a passing game than to use it againnst an opponent who has a weak pass defense.I would guess Bailey is trying to boost the confidence of his quarterback and recievers in the event that they may need a passing attack in some future game.Smart coaching period.Confidence is a key in any sport!

Well said.

You know Nick and Anthony can handle themselves. Now get the WRs and Qb ready.

Just because some believe that Westmont's pass defense is weak doesn't mean the opposing team will throw for 300+ yards. In order to effectively pass the ball the QB must be accurate, the QB must read the defense well, the WRs have to run good routes, the WRs have to catch the ball, and the O-line has to allow protection.
All these things have to happen regardless of the opponent. Maybe Coach Bailey, wanted to work on these intricate details because he didn't feel as if his team was where it needed to be in the passing game. Then after the Westmont game he felt like his players could do (all of the above). Again, has nothing to do with Westmont's "weakness" but FH's execution.

Yea, I would like to think that too. These two teams have had this rivalry the past few years. We'll see

I don't think Bailey consciouslly wanted to "work on the passing game" coming into the game. If you know coach Bailey, he takes no opponents lightly, and first and foremost he will try to WIN. He probably noticed Westmont had some wholes in the secondary, so he wanted to throw. What he said in the paper, to me, was just hindsight talking. He never has been graceful in interviews.
