Tino or Bolden?
Who ya taking? Seriously?
I hate going to Pitt games for the fact that if a Pitt Qb does one bad thing its..."get him out!" "He Sucks" "Hes awful" "damnit Tino" then he makes a 45 yard throw on the money to Baldwin, they don't say a word.
But if anyone in the stands was an actual Pitt fan like myself they would notice Tino is on fire of late. 4 straight games where he really has been playing well.
His season stats are pretty dang good for a first year starter....1549 67% completion percentage 12 TD's 4 Int's through 7 games. I can live with that.
Bolden has 1307 yards 58% and 5 TD's and 7 picks.
Both support a 4-3 record, both play on bad teams. But to me watching both Sunersi has really taken steps forward since Miami, Bolden managed the game well Saturday and wasn't asked to do too much. Going forward into next season, I feel comfortable with Tino. Do you guys feel comfortable with Rob? Honest question.

Re: Tino or Bolden?
Bolden is a much better athlete with a much bigger upside/potential than Tino.
Tino is a better QB at this point, but he's also more experienced and not a true frosh.
Bolden reminds me of Rod Rutherford, and if he ends up being as good as Rod, PSU should be elated.
If I had to pick one of the two today, I'd take Tino...but not by much...IF I had to pick one long term, I'd take Bolden, hands down.
What about Mark Myers, the true frosh that Pitt has in the wings? I am hearing good things about him.

6-4 215 and was a 4 star coming out of a Good HS program. I'm excited about him.

Re: Tino or Bolden?
Of course, Bostick was a 4 star with identical credentials to Myers...and he came in with one of the worst throwing hitches and slowest releases I have ever seen from a major D1 QB. What were the Rivals talking heads thinking giving Fat Pat 4 stars???

Re: Tino or Bolden?
I mentioned a few weeks ago that Pitt fans are crazy if they give up on Sunseri. I could not believe there were some Pitt fans and a few Pitt journalists that were clammoring for Bostick at one point this season. I agree with Titan. I haven't seen a candy arm like that since Mills was playing his junior and senior year for Penn State. Sunseri has the arm he just needs time to gain game experience. It seems like it must be coming together for him. I havent seen Pitt play to know how well he's looked tho(I hate watching football on the internet hahahaha). The thing I don't like about his game is mobility. I think if pressure is made up the middle he tended to panic in the games I watched.
I have never felt uncomfortable with Bolden. I think the kid has so much poise for a true frosh it's unreal. Like you, I cringe when I heard some Penn State fans wanting to sit him down or acting like he was the problem. Every time I see the kid I come away more impressed. He threw some excellant passes in the Minnesota game. Started 8-8, led them to 2 TD's, then got injured (granted it was against Minnesota) but it goes to show what the kid can do when he has time to pass. He his Devon Smith on a slant that was just a rifle and in stride. Hits guys in stride like Kerry Collins used to. I can't wait to see what he can do once he has a summer to progress with the playbook and wideouts. Of course, the OLINE will probably still suck tho.
Given the choice right now to go into next year with Bolden as Penn State's Qb or having Tino Sunseri Qb Penn State, I take Bolden 100 times out of 100. That being said, I think both have solid College careers.
