Two best programs in the LHAC, no talk?!

Post by Crimson09Crazy »

I fully expect the Rangers to win by a few scores, but its still the two most successful programs in the league since the LHAC was founded. Forest Hills is ranked in the top 10 and McCort is getting better. Thought there would be a little chatter.

McCort runs a very good athletic website, better then a number of colleges and here are the "Game Day Notes"

Just some slight reading, and some lineups and rosters and stats.

If youre interested....

FH by 14.-- Even though BM is coming off of a nice win.

I'd say 14, wouldn't be surprised if it was more. Don't see McCort coming much closer then that though.

I mean by judging the projected lineups, all the Forest Hills kids are big, not huge. McCort isn't too big themselves, but the tackles are big kids. Skill wise, Dudukovich should get his yards, I don't see Gdula having too big of a game, Donbo will abandon the pass in bigger games, and its a little easier to throw on Westmont , LaRue Leech and Spangler are a little better in the secondary. What scares me is McCort's undersized Linebackers against a physical running attack. The DLine needs to make some plays to help those guys out. Getting Senior Pat O'Reilly back will help tremendously on both sides of the ball. On offense, McCort did struggle against a pretty solid Johnstown D, but still found some cracks and holes to stay in the game. LaRue is definitely near the top in AP yardage, look for him to do some damage on kicks, he's real good in space. Cooper has done pretty good at distributing the ball. He's third in passing for the area. Leech has made some plays, and O'Reilly and Varga should be able to get some yardage on the ground. I am interested to see Gdula play....even though McCort isn't great, they likely will be the toughest opponent for the Rangers to date, and definitely the most athletic. I expect them to get their runs, but McCort usually has a good game plan for good running backs. Dudukovich will be the best the Crushers have seen this year. When I saw this game on the schedule at the start of the year, I expected the Rangers to beat McCort by at least 28. Now I think it can be closer, not saying it will be closer, just saying it can be.

It's tough for a team to get up for a big game 2 weeks in a row. Last week was the game BM needed to make their season.

Moldo, I agree. That was McCort's season, and it was a big win. I think McCort can annoy Forest Hills for a while, not much else.

If FH gets up early, it'll be a long night for the Crushers. If the Crushers can put together something in the first quarter, they can really put FH into some untested waters. I don't think FH has ever been losing in a game yet this year(?), and they are in no real threat to drop one tomorrow. I'd like to see them put together a full game before heading to Johnstown next week for the LHAC title.

Bold prediction. The game being at the Point has to be worth something. Has McCort been getting the usual crowds despite the average record?

Forest Hills, Bishop McCort should draw a crowd. Hard to believe last time these teams played was the first game of the '07 season. It was at the point, huge crowd, it was folkfest week i believe
