That we will, I'm probably underestimating.jack daniel wrote:we'll see on fridaysidelinetroll wrote:It wouldn't even have been a competition even if they were still both 9-0, Gdula's gonna throw at least 4 TD passes.

I agree with this statement, FH is a much better team and play as a team. Jtown seems to have many individuals and dont play as a team. Friday night will be the difference of FH coming out fired up, ready to play as usual & Jtown coming out, scared and intimidated.Athy wrote:Forest Hills will win at Johnstown by 21. Much better football team all around, from coaching staff down....just saying.
One thing, I kind of disagree with is the coaching staff. Other than the line coach, DonBo does all the coaching and his staff isnt very good(this year best its been in while with marabito). The boys from FH would be exceptional if they had a staff, which showed proper technique and they would get more players to the next level. Their linemen are bigger, faster, stronger with zero technique but play with much more toughness & heart. FH wins because of tradition, pride, hard nosed players and one hard nose coach in Bailey. The assistance change every year, can anyone name the offensive, defensive and special team coach at FH? Don does it all and the worst part is I hear all the area coaches say FH is so predictable and everyone knows their plays....LOL pretty funny when year in and year out we drop 40 on them. Congrats to Coach Bailey and the Rangers, add another LH trophy to the case and soon a d6 title~

Sort of the opposite with Penn State. The assistants do it all and the head coach does nothing.

Well I'll tell you what's funny. Bailey has 3 assistants: One with him on the sidelines and 2 in the press box. That's it. And FH has been the premier local football team for the last 20 years. Too bad knightrider thinks the coaching staff isn't very good. Now I just got done looking at BM's football program from the other night, and here's the situation with their staff. Salem is the head coach. The following are listed as assistant coaches: J.D.Jones, Dan Santoro, Kevin Sheridan, Dean Gindlesperger, Rick DelSignore, Greg Gardill, Brett Reaman, Angelo DeRosa, Josh Varga, Joe Arcurio, and Zack Terchanik. That comes to TWELVE coaches for the varsity. TWELVE!!!!! This does not include FOUR freshman team coaches, THREE 8th grade coaches and FOUR 7th grade coaches. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!! Tell me, how many other single A teams have TWELVE varsity coaches running their program, and TWENTY-THREE total football coaches for their program from 7th grade to varsity?????????? And knightrider thinks the FH staff isn't very good!!!!!!!

I noticed that. And that has to be just for the varsity!
It ain't over until it's over.

Knightrider – I see what you are saying and won’t even argue technique issues and the “behind the scenes” coaching. What I meant to say is that Johnstown has no discipline – penalties kill them every game – and the critical play calling during the game is just not there. Johnstown will depend on the flanker screen that they run 10 times a game but this time they will be playing a team that will defend it and could actually turn it into points. I am not a Don Bailey “total package” fan, but I know that when it comes to calling the plays in an important and/or close game, I want him leading my team in this one.
Another interesting point – Johnstown is the Forest Hills of old. Remember when Forest Hills had 20 coaches on the sidelines and just got in each others way? Look at Johnstown’s sideline….they need to streamline the coaching staff.
