Portage will be better than most people think this year and will make some noise in the north. I doubt they'll win it all but last???
I agree with you totally, portage will beat a ferndale, blacklick and more. they will compete in the westpac this year in my opinion

North Star should take it without a problem. Three solid big guys. I see Shade from the South, Berlin second but they lost some solid players but they have Alex Will. I think Salisbury could have a nice season. Problem at Salisbury could be a new coach with not a whole lot of experience. Rockwood is always a battler.

Westpac North
1.NS
2.CT
3.BV
4.CV
5. Portage
6. Windber/Ferndale toss up.

If CV's sophs and juniors had the ability to play at the varsity level last year I'm sure Coach Lupek would have found some time for them.

They had eight seniors but the sophmores did not play much at all. Lupek actually let the seniors play the entire game and rarely subbed the JV players.

I would think the Furman kid could be decent and there is a Kandera that is tall. He played line for CV and I don't know many linemen that were real good hoop players but I could be way off on the linemen statement but cannot think of any off hand.

I watched them four times last season and three games were 20+ wins and only once did they even put a JV player in the game. I wonder how many letterwinners they return.
