WPIAL,
Bedford,McCort,Carroll, and Guilfoyle don't play a tenth game. It diesn't count, how on earth can you reward Johnstown for winning that tenth game. It isn't an official conference game. Forest Hills losing to Johnstown is the exact same thing if they lost to a team from out of district.

Re: Simon Says
I sat on the 40 yard line on the visitors side Friday night and 3 guys from Johnstown sat on the bleacher right behind me. They were actually pretty quiet during the game, but the more the game slipped away from FH, the LOUDER they got. So no one has to tell me about fans sitting on the wrong side. AND, don't forget, FH and Tyrone bring MORE fans to their away games than any other schools in our area. So sitting on the "wrong" side is not unusual at a FH away game. No one on this topic had to remind everyone that FH was the conference champ UNTIL the Johnstown and anti-FH posters on here began to proclaim the Trojans as the "TRUE" league champions. The FH fans on here just had to keep the record straight, that's all. It's not classless to defend your position. And by the way, in today's Tribune, the final LHAC standings are posted. FH is listed 1st with a 9-1 record. Johnstown is listed 2nd at 9-1. So much for the listing in the paper. And NO, I'm not kidding you. And finally, from the last paragraph in Saturday's football edition about the FH/GJHS game: From coach Penna, "We made a pact as a team that our season was going to start Friday night. This was huge for us. All the people said we didn't want to play this game. What better could you want than to have a chance to come out and redeem yourself AGAINST THE BEST TEAM AROUND". 'Nuf said,

Wow, your too much moldy. Nuff said? Your right. Final Score-- JHS 34 FH 25....Nuff said! By the way, I don't mind when FH fans sit on the visitors side at their stadium. Its there stadium they can do what they want. Just like the JHS fans. But you know as well as I do why those FH fans were on the JHS side.
BTW, if why even play the final game if it meant nothing like you are proclaiming?
I've never seen someone defend a loss so vehemitely. You get bonus fan points for that. Are you the guy that wears all the FH buttons and 1962 lettermans jacket?

Re: Simon Says
And for those of you who are upset about the 10th game not counting toward anything in the LHAC conference, are there any of you guys out there who follow basketball and wrestling??? EVERY year district 6 sets a deadline for the selections in the district playoffs. More often than not, the schools STILL have games to play AFTER the date when the playoff teams are selected and seeded. WHY DOESN"T ANYONE COMPLAIN ABOUT TEAMS BEING SHORT-CHANGED concerning playoff appearances or their seeding when their entire regular season isn't finished yet???? Unbelieveable.
Re: Simon Says
sportsfan: You're losing this argument. Quit while you're ahead. I don't know why FH fans were in the home seats. You're trying to imply that they are there to rub it in or cause trouble. Heck, maybe they wanted to be closer to the JHS press box in case they won the 50/50. You're way out of bounds on this one. What a stretch. Please try a different argument. This one is going nowhere fast.

Moldy, you're right this is going nowhere fast. I don't know what argument I'm losing, I didn't realize I was in an argument.
Anyway, here are the facts I think we can both agree on:
Forest Hills won the LHAC championship week 9
Johnstown beat FH week 10
We both have a dislike for Mccort (thought I'd throw that in there)
Anyway, good luck to the Rangers the rest of the way. I do hope they win the AA title and have a good run in states.

Re: Simon Says
WOW. Didn't know what I'd missed going away for a few days. CONGRATS of the highest order, to the Johnstown Trojans, for winning what amounts to their SUPER BOWL. Yea, I said after the SCRIMMAGE that I wasn't impressed with the Trojans, then they lose to CC and all but cemented my opinion. I take back Bussard's "Coach of the Year" award and give it BACK to Penna. Maybe now you folks have someone you'll keep around for more than a year or 2. All I'll say about that scrimmage so long ago- some things worked well for both teams, and some things didn't. Then the real games started, and here we are. I, along with lakers, and a few others, knew the easy way FH breezed through the schedule without breaking a sweat was gonna hurt. Johnstown, and Coach Penna's staff, really really did their homework, and exposed just about all the weaknesses of FH. Johnstown changed their slants and closed off holes that had been used before to great success. I personally thought FH pass defense was better than years past, but I have said every year for the past 20 or so, you want to beat FH you do it through the air. This game proved it. Simon would get my vote as one of the top QB's, not just passer, in the LHAC. His timing and throws were on the mark all night long. Enough said about the team and this game. Again, congrats, go beat Bellefonte, and for anyone who wants some, I have a little crow left over, but I had to put some cheese and pizza sauce on it. Yummy. One more little item: Maybe some, FH fans, have friends on the "enemy" side. Maybe they sat there because it was closer to the potty. Maybe it was to hear their kids in the band, as they were playing in front of them. Maybe some of the home fans are fed up with the home fans. Food for thought.
It ain't over until it's over.

FH is a good team no denying that, but they lost, most teams, even good teams will loose. Its how they handle adversity in their upcoming game which I beleive they will do just fine. Jtown had a point to prove after loosing, and they did just that. Dont be suprised to see FH vs Tyrone for all the marbles,
