Re: Unethical or All's fair...
You want to talk ethics??? Here's one: It's the 2001 AA Pennsylvania State football championship featuring the Washington (Pa.) High School Little Prexies against Pen Argyl High School. Washington, which was 14-0 entering the game, was coached by Guy Montecalvo, who was the head coach there for 22 years. Down 12-6 at the half, Montecalvo walked into the locker room and told his squad that this was the last game he would ever coach, that he was retiring after the game. The players and coaches were shocked, many of them had tears in their eyes following the announcement. When the team entered the field to start the 2nd half, they were a "new" team. Holding Pen Argyl to no second half points, Washington went on to win 19-12. They were state champs and Montecalvo became Pennsylvania Small School Coach of the Year. The only problem was, HE HAD NO INTENTION OF QUITTING. He lied to his players and assistant coaches in an attempt to motivate them for the second half. He told the squad after the game he had lied to them in the locker room. Montecalvo went on to coach the Little Prexies for several more years, then became the head coach at Canon-McMillan High School and just retired from coaching on April 20, 2010. Any thoughts about that????

Unethical, yes.
BUT...if your strategie is to use wristbands on every player, wouldn't you have a different set of wristbands just in case something like this happens or to avoid play recognition? Unethical on the winning coach's part, very STUPID on the losing coach's part.

If I go to the FH game Friday night and find a 50/50 ticket laying on the ground, and later on it is the winning ticket for $847, should I 1) turn it into the school hoping the person who bought the ticket will come and claim it, 2) search everywhere to find the ticket's original owner and give him the money if I find him, or 3) take the money and run, using for my own benefit.
Re: Unethical or All's fair...
I'd call it stupidity by the losing team.
