Re: Will District 5 score against Clairton?
Put Ian or any player in this area into a bigger area and see what you get, try to look at how much playing time some players from this area would get playing for a team like clairton, you also have to look at bigger areas having bigger schools, AAA,AAAA and so forth, would some kids that were stars here even touch the field, maybe not. Look at some kids that have gone to college that were the best here and never see the field where they go to school.
But again BB nobody is knocking your brother, theres no need to jump down everyones throat (mccort know it alls) if they don't agree that your brother is god, or if they don't think Paul should be the coach of the year. etc etc...
If you were my older brother and I were Ian, I would really hate you being even on this website and mentioning my name, your just setting him up for failure by talking him up so much, and don't kid yourself, all you do is talk about your brother. Just look at your posts.
regardless he is still very good, nobody is disputing that.

If Ian Sayler played at McCort last year, the boys from Johnstown (and the surrounding area) would have probably brought home a state title. People are plain goofy on this board  . I was a reader for a long time and remember all the chatter about Larod Stephens way back when. Everyone was saying this and that about him and that he would never make it at division one. Now he runs back a kick for a touchdown in the NFL almost every week  He can't help it that he doesn't play at ______________. If he played at Clairton, Altoona, Johnstown, Forest Hills, etc he'd still be a top notch player and probably would be getting more Division 1 football looks (not sure if he is now or not). You can't coach the kind of speed that he has.
Ian can fly. He is a top notch sprinter in track and will probably contend for one of the top 3 places in the state this year in the 100.
The one post about Berlin having a much better schedule is absurd too. I'm not knocking them, but the comment makes me  and wonder what you know. Who did the play with a winning record? North Star and Ridge. Windber finished up even beating North Star and then the 4 lower tier teams in the Westpac. That would be their third best win.

I don't have a problem with your opinion but you can't compare Sayler to them. They are in 2 different situations. That would be like comparing Denard Robinson to Mark Ingram. You can't compare them.jack daniel wrote:well i've seen him play, and in my opinion hes not as good as lowry or seidel. you dont like my opinion i dont care.

Dberries, I only talk about him whenever people talk about him. I don't bring him up. Look at my prior posts. I simply give my logical opinion about him. I don't over-hype him if that is what you think I do. I am not getting on peoples throats. I was just saying you can't make an opinion about a player if you never saw him. Don't you agree? I will talk anything that even relates to WestPac and D5, realize that! I love talking about it. Don't come on here and say that is all I do when I don't.D-Berries1000 wrote:Put Ian or any player in this area into a bigger area and see what you get, try to look at how much playing time some players from this area would get playing for a team like clairton, you also have to look at bigger areas having bigger schools, AAA,AAAA and so forth, would some kids that were stars here even touch the field, maybe not. I agree with what you said about the schedule thing. What I say to that though is what does that really matter at this time of the year now? I really wish Berlin would of played CT and Portage but the team schedules changed this year. What helped though was Windber being week 9. They got battled tested right before the bye week.rainmaker wrote:If Ian Sayler played at McCort last year, the boys from Johnstown (and the surrounding area) would have probably brought home a state title. Agree BB, its like Denard to Ingram. It doesn't make sense. But I have watched the highlights you sent me today and last year's, and I havent seen one thing I don't like about him. I actually really like his defensive skills and i see exactly where you are coming from with the corner at the next level. Lowry is a corner for RMU and Josh is a DB for IUP. Ian can go there. I mean i still see the similarities with Domonkos and he is a slot receiver/punt returner for St. Francis. I don't see why he can't go to any of those places.

Well thank goodness someone atleast sees what I am saying. Yeah I saw Domonkos against someone this year on tv maybe East Stroudsburg? Cant remember. He had a heck of a game as a punt returner. Haven't got to see anything on Lowry/Seidel though....Crimson09Crazy wrote:Agree BB, its like Denard to Ingram. It doesn't make sense. Josh is red shirting.
Eric is like the 3rd Corner for RMU(heading to the NCAA Tournament btw, a tournament for college football?!?! what a novel idea?) I went down to watch him play last week, he had a pick and I think he has 2-3 this season. He's seeing a lot of special teams time, I think next year he will have a chance to see more significant playing time on defense.
Dane had a TD against Cal Poly as Receiver. He's a playmaker. He always found a way in High School.
I remember the first time McCort actually used him as an offensive player in a game in a significant role. it was against Johnstown in what would be his sophomore year on statewide TV. I've always known him and his brothers to be kickers, last time I saw Dane play offense was like 7th grade parochial league? So I wasn't expecting this big time playmaker, and he came up with 4 catchers for 95 yards. Right then I knew he was going to be a real good high school player, and he had a huge senior year. Never ever in a million years would people expect a Domonkos to play football in college and not be a Kicker.
