How dominant is Clairton?

Post by youngbuck »

This team is cruising to a second state title, Rochester might have a chance at beating them, but otherwise it looks like any one else is going to be lucky to score.

well on their way to 15-0 and another state title. quite the impressive run they have going there, this year will be their 3rd straight wpial title, 3rd straight state title game appearance, and 2nd straight state title.

Clairton is 11-0 and has outscored their opponents 572-19 (For you math gurus, that's an average score of 52-2 per game, a 50 point average margin of victory). I think that qualifies as domination.

They have a kid named Desimon Green (Pitt commit) who at 6'5" 245 is built like a lineman, but who also runs a 4.6. If this team wins the WPIAL, Good luck trying to stop the Clairton train, or if Clairton happens to get upset in the WPIAL A playoffs, D5 won't want to face the team capable of beating Clairton either.

With that said, I'm sure the game won't be cancelled and the D5 A champ will show up and play...but maybe it should be cancelled. There's some potential for some real carnage in that game. I understand that the D5 champ will have a bye the week of the WPIAL A championship game...I'm sure that the WPIAL A champ feels as though they will get their bye the following week by "playing" NBC or NS...

If you selected an all star team from D5 and Westpac combined -- you know ...from powers like Ferndale, Conamaugh valley, Blacklick, Shanksville etc etc etc ... schools that have no business even existing...they'd still lose by six touchdowns to this Clairton team. It's not fair to the D5 team ...I mean, how in the heck are they going to get their freakin trophy if they have to play a real football team for the first time in their lives. It just aint fair. I'm callin the PSEA,NEA, National Bullying Society, etc and reporting PIAA for putting these kids through this. The D5 kids are goin to feel bad about themselves and no one should have to ever feel bad about themselves so I'm goin to see if the game can be called off....in the name of "fairness" for the public school.................. so we don't have to sing our "we are the best PUBLIC school" song........

..........Oh, I forgot Clairton is a public school..

Clairton would beat an all-star team from class A in Districts 5 and 6 absolutely into submission. Heck, throw in 5AA too. I have heard that they're one of the best class A teams to come out of this area in a long time.

Combine all D5 and westpac teams and you would have the biggest school in the country...pretty sure they would beat any A school PA has to offer.

This arguement is pointless, but even Clairton wouldn't stand a chance against a D5 all-star team.

Clairton is lights out man. They can be mentioned with Steel High from 2 years ago, So. Columbia from a few years back ect...

They have size, speed, and talent. Throw them in the 2A WPIAL playoffs, they are likely in the final four with the Quips and Beaver Falls. They are THAT good. I mean I wouldn't be shocked if they would win AA in the WPIAL. I mean Aliquippa is an A school
