i wasnt bashing d5 i was simplying stating if a d5 all-star team played clairton clairton would beat them thats it. that is no way bashing d5. and in no way me trying to make myself feel big? thats just sounds idiotic. is that the reason you come on here and bash mccort to make yourself feel "big"?

There is no way a D5 All star team beats Clairton. Everyone knows I am a big D5 fan but you people need to come to reality. D5 has no where near the caliber of players that Clairton has. There isn't many D5 kids that run lower than a 4.6. I can't even name 5 kids to tell you the truth. Speed kills. Da Bears have 5 players going D1!! How many does D5 have? Maybe 1? D5 doesn't have type of athletes/linemen. Clairton also has a size advantage. Their WR's average 6'2", how many D5 corners do we have that have that kind of height and speed too? Next to none. Sorry peeps, just the truth.....

I will say this and you can take it to the bank.If district 5 ever gets a private school that can have a controlled enrollment like certain other district 6 schools and they play single A sports they would be lights out good. This isn't gonna happen but lets look at district 5.Bedford,chestnutridge,northern bedford, tussey mountain, everett, shade, rockwood, conemaugh township, berlin, windber ,northstar, southern fulton, mcconnellsburg ,hyndman, fannet metal, forbes road.Hmm I think with all those schools you could field a very very good team in many sports.Yes of course some years the wpial would win.No way every year, I would give the edge most years to d5 private!

In that case with those schools D5 would be AAAA. Still wouldn't beat a team like Woodland Hills, PCC, LaSalle, etc. How can you control enrollment?
