Penns Manor

Post by youngbuck »

Totally dissappointed in thier showing tonight. I saw them earlier in the season against United as was not impressed then. BC completed one pass, which was for a 2 point conversion. All they had to do was to stop the run. They could not do it.
Offensively they ran three plays qb sweep, jet sweep/reverse and staight dive. The QB is totally overrated. He just throws the ball up and prays that someone will go get it. Offensive line got dominated tonight and by the way BC started a true freshman inside who handled PM's interior.
What coach waits until under two minutes to try and stop the clock when you are down 2 scores.

This is not the BC team of years past and they dominated this game. I could not believe how many people from the Heritage schools turned out to hopefully see BC get beat and only leave the game complaining about BC and recruiting when the score got to be 14-0. So sad to see them all dissappointed to see the school that they kicked out of their confernce beatdown their undefeated champion on their own field.

Credit to the PM faithful who really did stick it out the whole game.

I was really expecting something more out of PM. I heard so much about PM's QB and their rushing attack if it wasn't for the bomb in the 4th they would've had 130yds total. Even in the first half they pushed PM around time of pos alone was BC 16 minutes PM 8 minutes. The Def line for BC had 2 new starters on it (66 & 78) along with 75 shut PM down the entire night. To think this team was beating teams 40 something to 0. This conference must be worse then I thought and after tonight I can see Portage losing by 30 to BM. Last week on the radio Homer vs BC game they asked C Sponsky if BC would ever think about coming back to the conference he kind of chuckled and said no and wished them luck finding someone after tonight I know why no competition. I really think if CH played in this Conf they would be 7-2 or 8-3.

True freshman as opposed to redshirt freshman. attempt at a joke, guess it wasn't that clear. Just thought it was weird that he said true freshman

I expected a lot more out of the Heritage conference in general this year, especially with the Laurel/Ligonier Valley merger. Ferens is only a sophomore, so I'd cut him some slack. But come on, they were 9-0, just like Ligonier Valley was 9-1. They talked to coach Page last week after HC lost and asked him what he thought of the LV loss to a 6-4 team and all he could say was "well I know they have the Runk boy and he's been all state". Yeah, but there are 21 other guys on the field too! I got the feeling that being all-state is some mythical thing in Indiana county. The last team to win the D6 championship was in 1998 and that was United. What's going over there? Last week all they talked about was Homer-Center's district championship...in 1994! I don't get it.

If you listened to the broadcasts on MSA from this week and last week all they talk about is team speed and how well they match-up with the teams around the district! That their defense was so outstanding. OK? Look what happened. I posted earlier they were averaging something like 37.5 ppg, and yet they only scored 7? Sheesh! I loved hearing the announcer just become dejected after each BC score because the smugness on all of those guys is ridiculous. They were the same way on the McCort broadcast last year.

If Ligonier Valley gets kicked out because they are TOO BIG for that league then everyone over there must be on something. Don't they realize playing better competition prepares you for the playoffs?

no people like you just never let it go. as for tonights game nothing surprised me except for the fact carroll didnt win by more until the heritage teams start playing better teams in the regular season they, like the west pac, will never be able to do it in the playoffs and d6 A will belong to the bishops and bellwood

You are exactly right. The problem is pretty much centered on football. The conference has brought home some impressive wins and titles in basketball, volleyball, softball, baseball but in football it is embarrassing.

What can you expect though when the two conference superpowers have a great opportunity to pick up a quality opponent to prepare them for districts b/c of the lv merger and Ligonier Valley picks up a team that has never played a game. Penns Manor can't find anyone. They admit that they found some bigger schools awhile away but those schools were too good?!? Too good like Bishop Carroll?
