FRIDAY NIGHT GAME UPDATES
Re: FRIDAY NIGHT GAME UPDATES
Thought this score was interesting: Brockway 50, Brookville 0 in the D9 AA championship. Are they for real? Buganza--all-time state passing leader, 2000+ yards this season. Probably a 1000 yard back after tonight too. They play the City League's Oliver next week, then match up with either the Quips or South Fayette.

Re: FRIDAY NIGHT GAME UPDATES
My take on the Central/Tyrone game. Well, Tyrone dominated everything but the scoreboard, Tyrone 7 drives inside the Central 25 = 17 pts(14 in the 4th qtr) not to mention a pick 6 by lil Franco that didn't count because one of our less bright linemen got caught up in the moment and sunk to somone whose name rhymes with sunks' level and had offsetting penalties that negated the touchdown. Give Central credit, they hung in there and the game wasn't out of reach until the final minutes. The sign of a good team, and Central has an outstanding team....congrats to them on fighting back all year to get that far. But in my opinion, Tyrone has some things to iron out before walking on the rug next week. They can't blow that many scoring opportunities and expect a 9th d6 title, won't happen. Although Tyrones' defense showed me something tonight, they missed a tackle here and there, but wow did they play! That was a nice surprise. Next week will be worth the price of admission. BTW- I was impressed with the Huntingdon boys who were there, Mr Riley, the Shopes and Mr O'Korn were there, polite and well mannered boys who took the time to stop and talk, they are a good group of kids that can be dangerous, good luck tomorrow to all teams, hope for great games with no injuries.....wrestlings comin' ...lol/

Northern Bedford, barely moved the ball all night, they had about 1 or 2 drives that were decent. they only kept it close because of NS's special teams. they had a ko return and fumbled punt and a blocked punt. NBC did not move the ball against NSCapnweird wrote:Great effort tonight by NBC. Fell down big early but rallied to be within one score, despite having fumbled the ball away while heading in for a score late in the first half. Those boys played their hearts out even with the chips stacked firmly against them. With no passing threat anywhere on the field tonight for NBC they still managed to move the ball well enough to have a chance to tie the game late.

I was at the Tyrone Central game.Tryone did move the ball up and down the field but central's D were tough when it counted. Tyrone D played very well the whole game. I didn't understand Central's coaching. The Runk kid only touched the ball 8 times the whole game averaged over 7 yards a touch didn't make much sense to me. Guess thats way I'm a bleacher bum. Good Luck to Tyrone make the MAC proud.
