I always thought it was harder to run 2,000 yards than step across the goal-line 27 times....but thats just my perspective.

I have to go with lewis. I dont even like the ravens but how can you not pick him with all those yards. On a team with no passing attack.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I was cheering for Lewis not to get the record. I'd hate to see an old schooler's record get broken by a guy like Lewis. I would have liked to seen Barry Sanders or some humble guy like that break it. You know, maybe someone like Marshall Faulk, but I'm glad it's not Lewis's record now.

I was siding with you on this one, I was hoping the Steelers would stuff him so he would not even get 2000, let alone the record.

I missed the second half. How many did he end up with (for the game)? I know they said that he had never rushed for 100 or more against the Steelers before.

mvp...hmmm...it is hard to believe that the ravens would have ever made the playoffs with out lewis carrying the ball...and i love watching manning run the colt offense....of course the value of all those mentioned to their teams is paramount....in the end>>>NFL MVP for 2003-from the patriots--TOM BRADY...........best wishes to the packers and eagles in their playoff runs...how many jumped off those wagons early in the season?

Smit, 4 people have rushed for 2000 yards, only 1 has ever scored 27 rushing TDs......you tell me which is more rare.

Lewis carried his whole offense this season. There was no one else. He didn't have the luxury of an offense which drove the ball down the field with many weapons like Holmes did. If teams would have keyed on Holmes like they did Lewis he wouldn't have been close breaking the record. Other teams tried to stop Lewis because they knew if they could do that then their chances of winning were much better. But they still couldn't stop him. He should be the MVP. Again, thats just the way i see it.

I like Brady too. He has his team in position to go all the way. Granted Lewis has them limping into the playoffs, but anyone have the Ravens in the Super Bowl?
