Re: North Star vs clariton/rochester winner
does anyone have an idea where this game will be played? Isn't this the cycle for D-5 to host this round? just hoping it will be in this area.

Re: North Star vs clariton/rochester winner
NOT to change the subject matters here, but does anyone know the starting time for the Single A WPIAL Championship game between Clairton vs Rochy? I was thinking it was like 9 or 10am but wasn't completely sure. I don't really have anything planned that day and was goin to try and make a day of it to watch the WPIAL championships. Thanks for anyones answer in advance.

Westernpafootball.net has all the statewide brackets. Worth checking out.
It says 9:30 on there.

Any predictions on the Rochy/Clairton game? Both have been destroying teams all season.

I was at last year's game between the two teams, it was a great game and came down to Clairton stopping Rochester on a two point conversion to win it by a point. I'd expect another good one but Clairton has to be at least a touchdown favorite.

If Rochy doesn't go for 2 the game goes into overtime and they had the potential to win it. Still don't fully understand Matsook's call there.

North Star is going to surprise people in this game. They will score, they could possibly lead for a while at the beginning of the game with a slow start from Clairton/Roch, and the final score will be closer than most on this board assume. Of course the WPIAL champion will be a huge favorite, but given the right set of circumstances, bigger upsets have happened.
I was really impressed with the way North Star handled Northern Bedford. NB really came out flat at the beginning of the game and looked unprepared for the NS passing game. North Star has relied heavily on the pass all season, so I was shocked that it appeared to catch the Panthers by surprise. Not having a true QB definately hurt NB, but so did the defense. North Star played a much better game than I expected, and really came through on being more prepared for big games having played the tougher schedule all season.
