Who is the player that makes you say "O"
Re: Who is the player that makes you say "O"
That is like the kid from Ferndale that had crazy numbers last year. Does not mean anything, just looks nice in the Lantzy program.

Brawley is all around a better player than Gaunt. And most likely will not go to juniata.
Re: Who is the player that makes you say "O"
Um, actually, it's nothing like the kid from Ferndale because Brawley earned his yards in the Laurel Highlands. Not claiming he was the best player or even the best receiver in our region, but if this discussion is about a player who was a threat to score (and had the opposing coach holding his breath) every time the ball touched his hands then he should be in the discussion.youngbuck wrote:That is like the kid from Ferndale that had crazy numbers last year. Also I like OL Dajour Morris another guy I think has the ability to play D1 football. Probably the best chance out of HS seniors this year in the LHAC... Mark my words.lol

Akron:
Bre Ford - RB/DB - 5-11 - 205 - Bethel Park
Nick Rossi - HB/LB - 6-1 - 230 - Riverside (D-2)
Travis Switzer - OL - 6-3 - 265 - Conemaugh Valley
( http://pafootballnews.com/commitments2011.htm )
I got this off PAFOOTBALLNEW.COM!!! Why hasn't this been in the paper and who the hell is Travis Switzer? None the less another jtown area footballer going to play in college. Congrats Dajour! and Congrats Travis Switzer 2 jtown kids that will be teammates at the next level!!

I also thought WR/DB Calvin Anderson and QB Simon were small D1 material. Wasn't really impressed to much with dukovich. he is a good player but overrated as an athlete. He doesn't project well in my opinion on the college level from watching his tape. Not at a D1 at least. He is a mid level psac D2 or robert morris/st.francis kind of athlete. Like the RB a couple years ago from FH. I also like WR Dwight Andrews for jtown. He prolly will go D2 but he could sneak in somewhere D1aa like dukovich. And forgive me if I spelled the FH RB name wrong.
I know it is suppose to be one pick but here is my take:
Possible D1 athletes:
1)GJHS WR/LB Alkwan Williams- Very fast for his size and plays with a chip on his shoulder and is only a Junior!!! With the same type of season as this year he can definitely go D1
2)Richland RB/LB Rizzo- I was very impressed with his mobility with his 6'1-2 /240lbs frame. Definitely has the possibility to go D1.
3) GJHS WR/DB Calvin Anderson- With 10 ints this season and a 5'10-11 175-180lbs frame definitely has hips and feet like a D1 DB. Only time will tell but in person I really liked his ability as a free safety.
4)GJHS QB Gervon Simon- Although he put up some healthy numbers at QB I think he could be a D1 WR or DB. But his athletic ability teamed with speed
5)BM OL Rugg- He is also a possible D1 caliber OL and has great size and strength.
I can tell your from jonhnstown. I agree that alkwan could go d1, but the rest are far from making it d1. simon and anderson didnt impress me, and rizzo!? wow thats even a further stretch from d1
I still don't understand why it is a far stretch for any of those ppl to go D1.lol. You must not know football BASKETBALLFAN.lol

And I was told by a coach that Calvin Anderson has been getting courted by MAC schools and real D1aa teams not St.francis, pa or Duquesne.... And also California, Pa has been calling him early a DII team that would beat all the D1aa teams in the region.
As for Gervon he is only a junior and he has legit 4.6 speed now. Not that I run 4.6 cause my dad or my friend timed me.lol. And he is going to have his top receiver next year even though if he makes it D1 it won't be for QB. It will be for WR or DB...FACT
And pure talent matched with strength, size and speed Alkwan was the best in the area in my opinion this year. I watched the RB from FH again and he is a tough player who has a ton of heart. But he isn't as good as williams. He plays a lil to stiff to be Division 1 specialist and not big enough to be a linebacker... Prolly will be a middle to bottom tier PSACer or St. Francis or Robert Morris. But to conclude I believe that Williams will go D1 next year. Depending on how good he does it might be a BCS school!
As for Zach Rugg starting since last season and being the anchor on a consistently competitive HS. standing at 6'5 269lbs why wouldn't he be a D1 prospect. And he moves well for his size as well.
Stick to Basketball bballfan whatever.lol
Oh and I am from Jtown not a redneck.LMAO
