PSU lands yet another blue chipper...
Wonder if Jokester did an in-home visit? Miami (OH) and UDelaware were his suitors...

Titan, I really dont get why you love having your wheels shot off, but here we go again...
Matt Zanellato is the best WR/ATH out of any kid committed to Pitt or Penn State, currently. He has also played against the best competition in VA and destroyed everybody. He has put up ridiculous numbers and catches everything thrown anywhere in his vicinity. The lack of offers is pretty understandable considering he has zero camp film prior to his senior year (this is pretty odd nowadays). He now has some film on Rivals and it is tremendous. This kid is big and pretty quick and has some of the best hands I have seen in a very long time. Lots of people who live in northern VA have been hoping we would offer this kid before anyone else did.
I have been very critical of the staff's recruiting this year, but this is a great pick up. Zanellato is a true hidden gem, unlike the other smoke and mirrors the staff has been playing recently. If we get Allen Robinson from St Marys Prep (Michigan), it will be the best WR tandem PSU has had in any recruiting class that I can remember, and neither of these kids are highly regarded w/ stars.
I think you should only be concerned with a lack of offers if there is film on a kid and you are thoroughly unimpressed. Zanellato is very impressive. On the flip side, Rivals has Shawn Oakman as a 4-star DE and that kid is a project at best and is def not a 4-star player.

If Penn State gets a wood chipper, it means that the mass murderer from Texas is still a professor there.

Ah Ohhhhh. This weekend (Dec 3-5) is PSU's first BIG official visit weekend for football. Let's hope the youngsters are not being taken to the PSU/Duquesne game Saturday night at 6 PM. It' supposed to be a good time for the recruits, not a punishment. By the way, season ticket holders can bring a buddy to the game for free. With friends like this, who need enemies.

Ive yet to see one thing from Newsome to indicate he'd be even an adequate QB at this level. If he were willing to play Safety or another position, he might have been useful, but im sure he wants to play qb so he should transfer to somewhere that he will play.

Lions get Ben Kline from Pitt. Middle Linebacker, would've probably played a ton at Pitt considering we have about 8 Linebackers who are god awful.

Re: PSU lands yet another blue chipper...
What's amazing is, PSU NEVER recruited him BEFORE he gave a verbal to Pitt and NEVER contacted him WHILE he was in Pitt's verbal committment list. THEN, when Wanny was let go, PSU offered him the next day and he committed immediately. WOW!! How desperate Is PSU recruiting? Talk about jumping he gun. Good luck to the 3-star athlete.
