other than a win against BC for 5/6 title, what out of conference wins are on Demarco's resume.

You could ask the same of every coach in the area. WestPAC teams don't play out of conference games unless it is in the playoffs. But the district is small, so they have only two rounds of games, and less chance of playing a Bedford County team. Aside from Forest Hills and the Bishops (who play in Class A, ahem) no coach in this area has many out of conference wins. To ask the question is just a way of trying to minimize his accomplishments.

By the way, how many out of conference wins do you have youngbuck???

Why would Windber hire a Slatcoff? I mean, why aren't the Slatcoff's on staff now? Why would one of them defect to the bitter rival CT?? Seems like something is fishy there. Not trying to stir the pot, just saying. Also, doesn't Windber have a stable of coaches to choose from? It seems like they have an entourage on the sidelines at every game I've ever seen of them.

If this is true the next 10 years will determine where Phil Demarco stands among the area's coaches. He constantly cranks out good seasons whether his team is loaded or not. Yes they should be AA some years but they are still very competitive when they're down.
nah, he's still got it. he ran off the field during halftime of the ohio state game...he ran.....HE RAN....love him
If you were at the game you would have seen the puppet masters working their tails off to make it look like he was running....

Good District 5 coach yes

In the same conversation with Bailey, Franco and Salem, I just don't thnk that Demarco can be mentioned in the same conversation. Even Buzzard made a couple of runs at Central Cambria.

If you put any of these coaches in a D5 school they aren't going to find the same success they do in the LHAC year in and year out. That's just the nature of the game in that district. Stick JoPa at St. Francis and I'll bet he doesn't collect all those wins.

How could Bailey, Franco, Sponsky, or Salem do any better in the WestPAC??? Demarco went undefeated, beat a loaded BC team (...a team that was composed of many CC and Blacklick kids that also Beat FH and BM that year  ) for a District title, took another loaded BC team to OT in the championship and had a conference winning streak of like 30 games. Oh, and did I mention he is the only WestPAC coach to beat an LHAC team in the District Championship???

Plus he won more games than any of you did. LOL. So, man up and admit that he did a great job!
