LHAC Week 14.
Didn't forget about it, just took me a while to get to it. Lots of things on the plate this week. But It's gonna be short, and sweet.
54-18 on the year. Went 0-2 last week, Forest Hills played much better without their starting DB's then I thought. McCort laid an egg and was completely outplayed by a much better team.
Holy Name (11-1) vs. Bishop Carroll (10-2)
Mansion Park Altoona Friday 7:00
Well BC is coming off their first title since 2005. They are doing it behind a dominant rushing attack. BC tried 2-3 passes last week, they were either poor passes,or intercepted. So scratch any thoughts that passing will be in effect this week. Woo and Barzdo are homerun threats and can cause problems for teams in space. They can beat your outside contain, and if you focus on that they have Chumrik and Kephart to run up the middle. They are tough to defend. No Maxpreps info on Holy Name(GET WITH THE PROGRAM) but from I can gather is, they are big. They have a good record, and beat last year's champ(Millersburg) last week, they also destroyed Steel High. They can score. I think BC and HN will trade blows for a while, but I really like BC 4 pronged rushing attack. They run, but they run with different styles. Its hard to defend.
Huskies move on....
Huskies 27 Blue Jays 20
Forest Hills (12-1) vs. Sharon (11-2)
Slippery Rock University Saturday 1:00
tough draw. 1:00 game a few hours away. Dress warm Rangers. It gets cold very easily at the Rock. I like the Ranger's chances, they proved that the injuries didn't affect that greatly. They shut out a powerful Tyrone team, and they still have the potent offensive attack. Dudukovich is the key for this game, anything short of 100 yards would kill the Rangers. Him Unger and Meier should combine for over 200,because Gdula will struggle in the tough weather conditions. Both teams seem to be evenly matched up front. Sharon has some real big dudes, but get averaged out. They have 2 backs that can gain yards. Forest Hills has done well against the run, and Sharon really hasn't thrown much at all. Forest Hills just needs to overcome the home advantage Sharon has right now, and just put the ball in Dudukovich's hands. Ride what got you here.

Holy Names starting O-line 2 Guards 160lbs, Tackles 5-9 275 and 215, and Center 235. T End is a Freshman so it will be interesting how they deal with Chumrick and Kephart. Who knows when Steelton and SCA r not in the playoffs could this mean a week east wwe will see.

i agree with the picks i think rangers and huskies both move within one win of hersehy
kmr
weak east could be no steelton and no southern columbia, much like last year when steelton lost in district semi-finals and southern lost in forst round of state playoffs and look what happened for d6 could we see a repeat? we will see.

"some may say you just got lucky, i personally believe you make your own luck by being good."
Re: LHAC Week 14.
Steel High was way down this season and were without their starting RB who collapsed in the game before they played Holy Name and had to have brain surgery. He's home now and doing better, thank goodness.
If what kmr posted is true and that's what their line looks like, I like BC's chances. Whoever wins this game I think gets knocked out in the next round though. Riverside has to be the favorite since they drubbed SCA last week.
Rangers, eh, going to be tough, but I'm pulling for them and the Rovers of Brockway. Makes you wonder how good Farrell is when you look at how badly they beat both the AA finalists in D10 (Sharon 24-7, Hickory 39-12).

Re: LHAC Week 14.
FH will be the more physical team on Sat. They will also have more big play. That is how they will win.
