any predictions on the match tonight? how strong is somerset this year?

Somerset got 2nd at whatever tournament they were at so they must not be too bad. Baer is a returning state qualified and is at 215. Chestnut Ridge should be strong enough from top to bottom to win the match. It will be intersting to see how Somerset matches up with some of the D5 big boys.

I think Austin lost by a major decision but still a great match for him. I didnt know he was only a freshman. Cityboy, did u actually see the match? How did he look? Another question is why didnt yothers wrestle at 135? I have my thoughts.......

Austin is only a freshman..he did what he was suppose to do and he kept his base and didnt get turned..he is a smart wrestler. Yothers didn't wrestle because he went to swear into the military and didn't make it back in time for weigh-ins. I feel ridge didn't look good as a team but the lower weights came through and got some upsets where they needed to. They got the pins and somerset didn't. I think ridge is in trouble come next week.

Buttry did great against Baer. Couldn't stop the takedown, but would not let Baer turn him. Austin is going to be force in years to come.

Yothers didn't wrestle because he got held up at the Marine's recruiting office. Nothing to look into there. He showed up but it was after weigh ins.

Buttry is a tough kid and I agree will be a very good high school wrestler. D5 is pretty solid around his weight this year so he will probably take some beatings from guys like Baer, Craig, Suter, Kerr, Krupa, etc...which will only help him in the long run.

Austins a great kid, and has alot of wrestling experience.....good to see him starting the year strong!
