Shaler Football...Fact/Fiction
WpialTitan would have you believe that Shaler is an outstanding program that is so much above anything in District 6. Well, let’s take a look closer and see if he has a point:
2001 4-6 1 win vs. team with winning record
2002 1-8 0 win vs. team with winning record
2003 5-5 0 win vs. team with winning record
2004 3-7 0 win vs. team with winning record
2005 3-7 0 win vs. team with winning record
2006 7-3 (23-47 Combined record of teams Shaler beat) 1 win vs. team with winning record
2007 6-4 (16-42 Combined record of teams Shaler beat) 0 win vs. team with winning record
2008 8-3 (24-52 Combined record of teams Shaler beat) 1 win vs. team with winning record 1 playoff win
2009 9-2 (35-56 Combined record of teams Shaler beat) 1 win vs. team with winning record 1 playoff win
2010 5-4 (16-32 Combined record of teams Shaler beat) 0 win vs. team with winning record
Let’s recap the last 10 years of Shaler football:
Overall record since 2001: 51-49
Combined record of teams they beat during their winning seasons (2006-2010): 114-229
Playoff wins: 2
Wins vs. teams with winning records during their winning seasons: 3
Wins vs. teams with winning records last ten years: 4
I think this pretty much speaks for itself. Four wins vs. teams with winning records. Four. In ten years. Four.
WpialTitan should not be allowed to say another negative word about any D6 school ever again.

The greatest thing about this is that I'm a West Mifflin Titan. Where's Shaler anyway?

Don't fell too bad about those numbers Titan. I'm sure they would have at least 5-6 wins against winning teams the past decade if they played in District 6.
