His dad is a former NFL QB, and the current AD of WVU.

Wow, I did not know that. Luck grew up in Texas, I had no idea his dad was WVU's AD.

His dad played quarterback at WVU, too. I don't think it's a mistake coming back for another year, but unless they replace Harbaugh with a quality coach, then the results won't be near the same for Stanford.

That might not be 100% true. They have had a great string of recruiting classes, the cupboard is full. I dont see them going 12-0, but I could see them going 10-2 w/o Harbaugh. The Pac-10 sucks.

Unranked in 2007/#9 in the Pac 10.
#50 in 2008.
#20 in 2009.
#26 in 2010.

I'm not sure that's a "great string" of recruiting classes. I think Harbaugh has gotten a lot more out of the talent that he has recruited than most any other coach would get. I'll hold my prediction on their record until they hire a new coach.

Those same kids just went 12-1.

As you know, Standford has a massive problem w/ getting kids accepted. Have a 20th ranked class is a small miracle.

standford has the same problem with athletics as say northwestern just too hard to get accepted academics wise to have consistently good sports programs, which is why you have to give your hat off to guys like harbaugh and pat fitzgerald at nw

They will hire form within, plus they will keep the same Offesnsive scheme. USC will still be down for the next 5 years.

I agree, TAE. I'm just not sure that type of recruiting class will get it done under a different close. Yes, they'll still be tough next year with Luck and the Pac 10 will likely still be down. I just don't think they'll quite be the same team without Harbaugh at the helm. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I agree completely. They should still have the players to break double digits.
