Bedford / Penn Cambria

Post by odoyelrules »

If Easter can't wrestle then this match goes from a leans Bedford to a tossup match, imo, as he'd be an overwhelming favorite normally.

I have Bedford favored at 6 matches - 112 and 160-285. PC favored at 6 matches - 119 and 130-152. With a tossup match at 125 and Bedford having more bonus point opportunities.

I expect that Easter will wrestle. Toss could determine this outcome. But like you said Bedford should have a shot at more bonus points. PC will have trouble getting many from Bedfords middles. Plus Weyandt could win in there. I also wouldn't under estimate Dudek and Williams. Both are really coming on.

Bedford wins like 37-24 I think

171 Gibbons fall. Kid stalled big time. Almost made it but got pinned late 3rd.
189 Brett Bed. major over Scholosser. Brett in total domination. This kid is really looking tough.
215 Krupa Fall
285 Frederick 4-2 over St. Clair who was 19-5 coming into the match. Frederick looking tough.
103 Easter fall
112 Link PC by forfeit
119 Thomas by forfeit
125 Hogue PC fall over Grimes. Big upset and thought match was in question at this point.
130 Szala PC fall over Rininger
135 Dudek Bed. 2-1 dec. over Kearney PC who was 11-1. Dudek is looking good.
140 Weyandt bed. 10-3 over Stoy. pretty dominating match
145 Miller PC 9-1 over Williams Bedford
152 Slovikovsky over yingling Bedford
160 Koontz 3-2 over Hanlon PC. Koontz is fun to watch. got a tilt with just a few seconds left to win. I love this kid.

Overall Bedford wrestled well again. The young and inexperienced are really coming along.

I was counting on Gartland and Matt Sollenberger beating Dudek and Weyandt on Saturday but i'm not so sure now. I really would be surprised if Bedford doesn't beat NB on Saturday, but there will be some fun matches.

I count seven really good matches for Saturday S Cube. 112,135,140, 171, 189, 215, 285. Should see alot of good wrestling at the very least.

Heck why not throw in 160 with Koontz/W Sollenberger? It's always fun to see the highly touted underclassman against a tough senior. If Hershberger is healthy at 125 that will be a fairly even bout as well.

True most of the matches SHOULD be pretty good evenly matched kids.
