Great Bedford Wrestling Families
Re: Great Bedford Wrestling Families
IMO Joel Easter runs the show at Bedford.
Re: Great Bedford Wrestling Families
Undefeated as a junior odoyel.
Unfortunately my fate as a sophomore was the double face slap followed by the "don't get pinned" speech and off I would go for another thumping.
If I had been at hunky high I may have gotten more than three matches Old School.
What I know for sure is my name is safe from being mentioned in the 'great bedford wrestling families' category.

Re: Great Bedford Wrestling Families
Creps is a good coach. He does what he does well and allows his assistants to do what they do well. He doesn't let his own ego interfere and ALWAYS gives ALL credit to his kids hard work and dedication and the hard work of his assistants. To me that is a good head coach.
Bedofrd has a nice mix of assistants. Sam Carroll, Joel Easter, Brandon Weyandt, Todd Roadman. All have areas of expertise that they pass on to the kids. Bedford is not an easy place to coach and expectations are always high with the wrrstling program.

Re: Great Bedford Wrestling Families
I know this is a Bedford topic, but after 3 Sollenberger's won D5 crowns yesterday I had to throw them some love.
I don't have the info in front of me so I'll go by memory. I should have asked my dad before posting this, I'm sure he knows the history better than I do.
Nevin
3X district champ I believe
regional champ
son Nolon won some matches this weekend for NB's title team, was in a logjam of NBC's best wrestlers the past few years, would have had many more opportunites at most other schools
Normon
district champ, not sure how many times or if he was an SQ
son Ben was a D5 champ, maybe twice? Also was an SQ as a junior
son Willie was a D5 champ this weekend, has a nice chance to be an SQ. Anyone know if Willie is close to 100 wins yet?
Mark
district champ, also not sure how many times or if he was an SQ
son Andy was a D5 champ in 09
son Daniel is a SR and 2X D5 champ
son Matt is a JR and just won his first D5 title
Pretty dang impressive what this family has done for NBC wrestling if you ask me!

Re: Great Bedford Wrestling Families
Just thought I'd add another twist to this topic. With Ryan Easter placing 5th yesterday that gives Joel and both his sons state medals. Not sure if any other father and two sons have ever medaled for Bedford. Good job this year Ryan. Great job of coaching this year Trey. Joel sure is proud of you both.
