Tussey has been one of the best public basketball programs in the state over the last couple decades. NBC has the state record holder in points scored. Shade, SF, and Forbes have had very stellar teams over the last couple of years and I don't remember the last year at least one of the D5 representatives didn't advance past the first round of the state tournament. Do us a favor, if you 1) don't know what your talking about (which is apparent) or 2) don't have anything good to say, find somewhere else to share your "wisdom."
WOW you might just be the dumbest person on this website. How can you actually debate district 5 vs district 6 as a whole? District 6 is lightyears ahead of district 5, all those teams you jus mentioned..really, are you kidding me? Johnstown Forest Hills, State College, Hollidaysburg, Central Mountain Altoona would all embarass anyone of these district 5 jokes. Its not even a debate what district is stronger, district 6 is bigger and better. In basketball, in football district 6 is way better than district 5 this debate is a joke, just like you

Bash the Catholic school or not, BG girls are legit, and either way you look at it they have a good system coming up through their ranks, no recruiting, well coached, and well prepared and talented. I know its hard to give credit, but they are really really good.

Westy girls made some runs with a bunch of girls from Catholic Schools.
and Conemaugh Valley had a nice years along with Northern Cambria.
McCort girls made it to the final 4 one year and made the final 8 2-3 years in a row. Without one girl from a public school might I add.

I'd say D6 Girls A and AA is as good as you will find anywhere in PA.

Westmont and cv girls had state appearences few years back

I know I said that, I was at the one Westmont game in Hershey.

abpk isn't arguing AAAA and AAA because D5 doesn't have any of those teams, but to compare A and AA teams from each district isn't the worst argument in the world.

Sucess rate. D5 A teams have advanced further than D6 the past 2-3 seasons. Thats a fact.
AA, North Star is usually comparable to top AA D6 teams, now Tussey is AA and they can play also.

From top to bottom D6 has more competitive teams, yet at the top there really isn't that big of a gap.

And this is coming from a D6 guy.

Of course those teams are better, pete. They are all at least twice the size of any D5 school. Your really going to compare Altoona, Johnstown, Forest Hills, Hollidaysburg, State College, and Central Mountain to Shade, Tussey Mountain, Southern Fulton, NBC, and Forbes Road. Look up the enrollments of all those schools then get back to me about who the dumbest person on the website is. Johnstown would embarrass any of those schools? Tussey hung pretty dang tough against Johnstown earlier this year at UPJ. Try to find me 10 public single A schools that have had the success over the past few years as SF, Tussey (when they were single A), and Shade.

-coming from a d6 guy? you make that sound bad. D6 is better and maybe i am a d6 guy, im not biased i state my facts as to why D6 is better than D5, there more competitive, and im looking at districts not states that has nothing to do with my arguement, pound for pound district 6 is better

I would put some schools up in D5 like Tussey with any D6 school and be postive they would win. D5 isnt some joke!

with any D6 school?! You would take Tussey mountain against Hollidaysburg and Central Mountain or State College? Good luck with that Tussey could stay within 20 points of those schools

I mean size is a problem..but i still would like Tussey in a lot of matches..Tussey is half the size and can still compete with a lot of the 'big' D6 schools
