7 V 7 Tournament

The Somerset Area Soccer Boosters would like to invite your Boy’s High School Soccer Team to participate in our 2011 undergraduate 7 v 7 soccer tournament. The tournament will be held on Sunday, July 24th at the Somerset Area High School soccer fields. The entry fee for the tournament will be $200 for first team entered. The fee would be $175 if you would like to enter a second team. Teams will be accepted on a first-come; first serve basis. It is anticipated that this will be a 20 team tournament. Register early to ensure a spot. It is anticipated that this tournament will attract A, AA, and AAA teams from Districts 5, 6, and 7 in Pennsylvania as well as teams from Maryland. Please send the check and entry form by Friday, July 1st. Make checks payable to: “Somerset Area Soccer Boosters”. Food and refreshments will be available. Rules, schedules, and insurance forms will be sent out after all the teams have been accepted.
Note:
No select teams will be allowed to play in the tournament. All players should attend the school that they are representing.
Only players who are eligible for the fall of 2011 season can play.
The first 20 teams will be accepted.
There will be 4 divisions of 5 teams.
The games will be 25 minutes long. (NO HALF-TIME)
The top 2 teams in each division will advance to playoffs.
Team trophies and individual medals will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd place teams.
There will be 6 players plus a goalkeeper on the field at a time.
