Trojans v. Rangers score?
Re: Trojans v. Rangers score?
Maybe Cobaugh didn't have enough confidence in his team after that debacle of an ending against Lewistown the other day.

Well Uniontown and West Mifflin are the two teams Johnstown and Forest Hills will be facing next week, that much we know for sure.
The easier route by far would be Uniontown, West Mifflin was the 2 seed that got upset but possesses a 22-3 record currently. After tomorrow night's WPIAL AAA game we will know who gets who.....If South Fayette wins, Uniontown becomes the 5 seed, and Johnstown would play the winner of Uniontown and Bradford(D9) as those two have to play a play in game. That would give Forest Hills and West Mifflin to be part of a play in game, with the winner getting the D10 Champion(General McLane or Franklin).
So simply put, Johnstown wants top team, South Fayette to win because that would give them Uniontown.
Forest Hills will be pulling for Montour for that very same reason.

Seriously. I think, after Johnstown almost flubbed-the-dub against Lewistown, that Cobaugh was actually afraid to pull his starters until the 1:24 mark with a huge lead. Either that ot he wanted to rub it in to a team that gave them their only loss. I mean, with important games coming up, why risk keeping them in longer than you have to?

I guess they wanted to try and get him more than 12 pts.

Is this really even worth arguing about?
to Sportsfan,
No one was even giving FH a chance to beat Johnstown in this game. Congratulations, Johnstown won D6AAA which everyone picked them to. They did what was expected of them. I'm not sure why you are taking shots at an overachieving FH team who gave Johnstown their only loss on the year. FH has 1 great and 1 good player and a bunch of mediocre players. No one expected them to win this game, so please save your trying to insult the FH basketball team. This was their first LHAC and D6 title game since I believe somewhere around 1993-1995. As a Ranger bball fan, this was a great thing to see. Let's wait and see if Johnstown's stacked team can beat a team from a different part of the state before we start bragging about how they beat a good but not great FH team.
to Moldo,
Let it go man. It's not like an onside's kick or something disrespectful to the team. Jtown kept their starters in, so what. It was a championship game, and I'd rather be safe than sorry. I have no problem with that, unless McGough would've had his JV's in.

I wasn't trying to insult the FH basketball team. I've said many times they have the best player in the conference.
JHS may very well lose their next game. I'm not one of these people that think they are better than they are. But if they lose, and they will, you will see the people come out of the woodwork. Whether they win any games in the state tourney has no bearing on the accomplishments to this point.

I'd say your opinions if they lose are correct. But it's because a few idiots on this board crowning them state champs or unbeatable in October that's the cause.. not people's hatred for Johnstown.
