I think people are delusional about Johnstown. They are a good team compared to the local teams. I want people to really be honest on this, how many players right now on Johnstown is being recruited to play basketball in college???? Just to show you the Difference in talent Neumann-Goretti and Archbishop Carroll have 9 combined D1 offers on the table for their basketball teams. If you think the Trojans have a shot at beating either one of those schools you need your head checked. Now those teams are out of Philly which is a basketball breeding ground and Johnstown puts all its eggs in the football basket, which they will never win a title in that either, so to be honest its really not fair to compare those schools to the Trojans but since they are AAA we have to do it.

If you want to closer to home here is a couple teams that would also handle Johnstown pretty easily: Highlands, New Castle, Greensburg Salem, West Mifflin, South Fayette, Uniontown, and Blackhawk. All out of Pittsburgh all AAA.

I know the Philly Catholic Schools started in 2008. That was the year Philly West Catholic and Wilmington played that overtime thriller for the AA title in football, which the Greayhounds went on to win. And I remember during the telecast it being said numerous times that this as the first year of Philly West Catholic playing in the PIAA playoffs.
